Gold baby!

Post by Shulem »

GOLD that is referenced in Book of Mormon stories (hilts, plates, thrones, etc.) was nothing less than that of "pure gold" which is the same kind of gold Smith claimed when denying the temptation "to get the plates for the purpose of getting rich."

Baby-boy Smoot needs his ass spanked. He's a very, very, bad boy! And, he's kind of stupid, too.

Come here, Smoot-boy and let Shulem spank you! You're a dumdum.

And, I'm much smarter than you!

Green?

Post by Shulem »

Vogel wrote:The greenish corner of the plates comes from Josiah Stowell who accidentally saw the corner of the plates sticking out of the cloth covering them.
Greenish plates are a telltale sign that a fraud was taking place insomuch as gold plates could never be green. Imagine, if you will, the twenty-four Jaredite plates recovered by king Limhi being described as such:
Mosiah 8:9 wrote:And for a testimony that the things that they had said are true they have brought twenty-four plates which are filled with engravings, and they are of pure gold and it resembled a stone of a greenish caste.
Josiah Stowell should have known better. Smith was an expert at knowing how to trick people.

Imagine Joseph Smith saying:
Joseph Smith—History 1:34 wrote:He said there was a book deposited, written upon gold plates that have green corners, giving an account of the former inhabitants of this continent, and the source from whence they sprang.

Mormon was a man of tremendous resources (possessing many a Limnah) and was more than capable of making plates of "pure gold" wherein the color green would not exist:

3 Nephi 5:11 wrote:And behold, I do make the record on plates which I have made with mine own hands.

An instructive video about how easy it can be to confuse colors in gold production.

Behold the Gold Plates!

Post by Shulem »

What if the President of the Church 😇 stood up in General Conference with what he claimed was the original gold plates handed to him by the angel Moroni and later bundled in cloth placed atop the conference pulpit stand whereon they would remain as a testimony until the angel takes them back? The entire Church via TV broadcast would be permitted to see the bundled plates on the pulpit stand but would remained covered. Members of the Church must embrace the testimony and accept it even though the plates would remain covered and nobody would ever see the actual plates and engravings although members of the Quorum of the Twelve would be allowed to heft the plates while covered as they contemplate what the Book of Mormon means to them personally. They are the Twelve Witnesses of the Gold Plates!

How many members of the Church would accept this as a divine manifestation? A miracle? I think that's a very good question because what we get from Joseph Smith is really no better than that. And yes, I am mocking the whole BS concept of the gold green plates and the lost ancient Stone Box in which they were said to be encased.

How many members of the Church would bear witness this was a true event?

Screw you MG and the Book of Mormon horse you road in on!

Mosiah 8:9 wrote:And for a testimony that the things that they had said are true they have brought twenty-four plates which are filled with engravings, and they are of pure gold.
Also, nothing was too good for Mormon's gold plates other than being made of pure gold. Afterall, gold was in great abundance and Mormon was able to get his hands on plenty of gold because he was a powerful leader and he commanded the entire Nephite army.

Book of Mormon Gold in Abundance:
2 Nephi 5:15 wrote:...and of gold, and of silver, and of precious ores, which were in great abundance.
Jacob 1:16 wrote:Yea, and they also began to search much gold and silver...
Jacob 2:12 wrote:search for gold, and for silver, and for all manner of precious  ores, in the which this land, which is a  land of promise unto you and to your seed, doth abound most plentifully.
Jarom 1:8 wrote:And we multiplied exceedingly, and spread upon the face of the land, and became exceedingly rich in gold, and in silver...
Helaman 6:9 wrote:And it came to pass that they became exceedingly rich, both the Lamanites and the Nephites; and they did have an exceeding plenty of gold, and of silver, and of all manner of precious metals, both in the land south and in the land north.
Helaman 6:11 wrote:And behold, there was all manner of gold in both these lands...
4 Nephi 1:46 wrote:...And gold and silver did they lay up in store in abundance, and did traffic in all manner of traffic.
QUESTION: Is anything too good for Mormon's gold plates other than pure gold? The precedent had already been set by the Jaredite twenty-four plates made of pure gold, so why should Mormon make cheaper plates? No way!

Mormon apologists are liars, all of them! Their lips speak guile and their forked tongues protrude out of their mouths like serpents. They have become agents of the devil in whom they fear and speak all manner of lies in order to flatter their dumb flocks.

I rebuke the Mormon apologists in the name of Jesus Christ!

Ye liars!

That includes you, MG.

GOLD used for sacred religious purposes in the Bible was that of pure gold, that which could never tarnish or rust. The finest gold was used to craft that which was dedicated and devoted to God's holy work. We can be sure Smith's Book of Mormon followed suit precisely as prescribed by biblical precedence. Only pure gold was good enough for the innermost area of the holy temple! It was by commandment of God that pure gold be used to craft sacred objects such as the Ark of the Covenant, Menorah, Mercy Seat, etc: "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it."

Here are some references to that effect:
Bible wrote:
  • And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
  • Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.
  • And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
  • And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.
  • Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.
  • And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
  • And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
  • And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
  • So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
We can be absolutely sure that Joseph Smith never imagined his gold plates that contain the WORD OF GOD to be anything other than "PURE GOLD."

Corrupt tumbaga?

The Mormon apologists can go to hell!
