Salt Lake Temple visitor center replica

Post by drumdude »

The new Temple Square Visitors' Center in Salt Lake City, opening May 18, 2026, features immersive, full-scale replicas of sacred temple rooms, including a sealing room with an altar. Designed to educate the public on temple purposes, this center offers a 30-minute "Inside a Temple" experience that requires a free, advance reservation via TempleSquare.org or the app.

It’s an instant hit as a casual proposal spot:

I’m thinking they should build a children’s playground next door, and have the splash pad be supported by golden oxen. It’ll really complete the effect!

Anyone who uses the splash pad will be recorded as having been baptized into the Church.

The Disneyfication continues. I note that in return for your instagram selfie moment at the altar, you’ll be giving up your information to go on a database which will be used, for what exactly?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
