Let me be a bit more clear. Do I think that homosexual behavior/practice is going to result in the end of the human race? Of course not. Do I believe that every person that chooses a life of intimate homosexual behavior/practice adds to the non proliferation of humans on the planet? Of course. I should have been more precise.
Your original post did use very clear language. I suspect you are just altering your position after inaccuracies were pointed out in your original position. Many members think incorrectly as well on the issue. The reality though is more complex. People are not always fully one or the other. Many homosexual people still have children for various reasons, and play important roles in protecting their groups overall health and survival.
The family of God in a general sense is everyone born into mortality whether they believe in Him or not. In another sense, the family of God are those that choose Him to be their God/Father and follow His commandments. Within THAT family homosexual behavior and practice does impact the continuation of the family of covenant keepers and disciples of Christ.
Not really. Many gays want to be a part of that family, and would play important roles if they were not hated and reviled as they currently are. You have agreed that homosexual behavior will not end the continuation of that family of covenant keepers. It's also not that homosexual behavior leads people out of that family, but the church's attitudes and treatment of gays that pushes them out. When it comes to what God thinks, the church always has to alter that over time as well. If a prophet in the past can't get it right, prophets today cannot be trusted to do any better, and average members like yourself have no real chance to get it right.

Clarification is needed but your original message was more revealing than the clarification. You made your point quite clear and anyone with half a brain could figure out what you were projecting:

1) "Intimate homosexual behavior/practice"

Well, this intimate behavior and practice which your church loathes and considers to be second to murder is practiced by wonderful people who care for each other and desire with every fiber of their hearts to express love and goodwill in loving companionships -- some of which are in the bonds of marriage which is now legal in all 50 states in America, no thanks to the Mormon church.

2) "strikes at the very core of human reproduction"

Strikes? You use this term as if homosexual love and practice is harming the world's ability to populate. You use that term as if it's hostile to heterosexuals who are reproducing according to their own will. Thus, you set at variance the two expressions of sexuality as if they are at war with each other and gays attacking straight people. This is certainly not the case. Homosexual behavior and practice is not an attack or is not striking against anything. It's merely expressing gay love within the bounds and parameters of its natural biological order and conditions. It's naturally fulfilling itself within those bounds!

3) "and the continuation of the human race, and thus the family of God"

Homosexual love and marriage is not striking at the human race in any way. It's not striking at the core of the human race. But we have a clear history of religions and the so-called "family of God" that strikes against homosexual love and has done everything in its power to strike down the ability for gays to love within the bounds of their own relations to include marriage. Expressions of homosexual love used to be illegal and the Mormons were guilty of attacking and striking against the very core of gay love.

You are welcome to go to the celestial board and read my thread. Your church is guilty of very grievous sin, if you can call it sin. But I call it hate!

That is your belief. That is your religion. You cannot impose your religion and beliefs on everyone else. You cannot set the rules for everyone based on what your religion dictates. America is a free country but the Christians and Mormons long sought to keep homosexual practices illegal. The Mormons are guilty of striking at the core of gay love because they hate what gays do. The Mormons have a history of showing great intolerance and have ever sought to dictate their own will on everyone else based on their religion's code of doctrine.

Keep your religious covenants to yourself and your own religion. Stop dictating what others must do. That is not religious freedom but it's religious oppression. You Mormons are guilty of oppressing others in the name of your religion. It's utterly disgusting.

Stop it and stop it now!
