Dr. Scratch,

What are the chances the Brethren have also talked to the Interpreter Board about being more Christlike in their publications?
I'm not sure. DCP and Gee were "talked to" by the leadership of the Joseph Smith Papers Project. I don't know if any "additional information" was conveyed--if you know what I mean. And even if one of the Twelve actually had a "sit down" with Interpreter's leadership, I'm not convinced that the Interpreter people would obey.
Wasn't the birth of Interpreter because Mopologists thought the Brethren were wrong and that they knew better?

Mopologists primarily like to curate material (“look at this new article and its implications!”) and occasionally editorialize with rants, they don’t often move beyond that.
The postings on Sic Et Non being a current example.

The career of William Hamblin might serve as an even better example. If I had to choose a video representation of it, I'd go with that famous time-lapse video of a piglet decomposing. Nothing better captures the essence of a career spent in Mopologetics than those images flashing across your screen.

Yes: I think that's certainly one way of putting it. They were told on multiple occasions to "tone it down," or to knock it off with the attacks. The problem is that *some* of the Brethren at any given moment are usually fans of the Mopologists. There seems to be something of an ebb and flow to the opinion on whether Mopologetics actually helps people, or whether it drives them out of the Church.

That is very true; I know firsthand.

Nothing has really changed
