Sadly Shades, I just don't have the right to insist to my husband that she can't go to his church.

Besides, that was nothing compared to the fit that she threw when I took her to the dentist yesterday.

My daughter was the same way at first. Its just fear of a new enviorment.

My daughter is 6 now and jumps out of her seat after sacrament and runs to primary without us. don't worry jack, she'll be fine.

I get the same look on my face when my wife makes me go to the craft store with her.

So, last Sunday a fellow student here at TEDS wanted to visit an LDS ward. My husband had to work that morning, and I didn't want to miss my church at 10:30 AM, so I decided to take her to the local YSA Branch, which meets at 1:30 PM here. My husband's ward normally meets at 11:30 AM (Sacrament meeting), which means that their Primary was starting at about the same time as the YSA branch Sacrament meeting.

I decided to try and leave Harley in Primary while we attended the YSA Sacrament meeting. Went to the Primary room and opened the door. Harley took one look inside that room and literally ran away down the hall, screaming and wailing. I confess, it made me laugh pretty hard. Good for you, Harley. I wouldn't want to go to Primary, either.

So, she came to the first half of Sacrament meeting with me instead, which she liked. The YSA branch was pretty empty and I let her pew hop a bit. I'll bet it was odd for them to have a toddler in there with them, chirping "Mommy! Water!" at the top of her lungs throughout the meeting.

I was able to drop her off in her Sunbeams class when that started, and she liked that much better because it had coloring and snacks.

Don't feel bad, Jack. My son is 6, and he will still fuss about going to Church. He always says he hates Primary until he gets there. They have class first, though. He likes class because it's smaller and they always have things to do, like crafts or coloring. Opening exercises is still tough. He has been better with it since he started school, but really, up until this year, he and I would spend opening exercises of Primary in my car, watching movies on my iPod. Sometimes, we would run to Krispy Kreme and come back before Dad was out of Priesthood. ;)
