My position is based on personal experience along with the experiences of dozens upon dozens of friends and family who have experienced health care abroad. Yours is a position based in ignorance which seeks out the politically driven mantra of those who have a financial interest in propagating ignorance and making Americans afraid of that which they do not know.
Calling these people liars, is your usual way of ignoring refutation. It is the only way your mind can make sense of it all. I mean someone has to be lying of course, but you refuse to accept the possibility that these Right Wing institutes have an agenda and that they might be lying - even though I constantly prove to you that they are.
Unlike a political extremist with his head buried in his own arse, I rely on those who are actually in a position to speak on the matter. A bunch of Canadian millionaires doesn't strike me as a group of people who are taking time out because they care about others. They have their own interests at heart, and they are funded by the higher powers who wish to keep the American Health care system controlled by the drug and insurance companies. They don't give a damn about quality health care or the lives of others. All they care about is the bottom line.
The fact is AMericans go to Canada for health care too, as did Mrs. Palin when she was a kid. Those who come to the USA are usually those super rich people who want to experience the luxury rooms at the private hospitals. It rarely has anything to do with the idea that the same treatment was unavailable to them in Canada.
Can Sarah Palin possibly be this stupid?

Standard. Personal anecdote, class warfare platitudes and the classic sanctimonious anti-American pomposity of the typical Canadian welfare state drone; on its back, legs spread wide, tail wagging, living at the expense of their fellow citizens in the great day care center up north while their great god Government tells them what to do, when to do it, what they can say in print, and how much of the fruits of their labor thay will be allowed to have to carry on their own, sordid "self interest".

It wasn't a refutation. It was a classic making up of phantom facts for the consumption of the typical, public school educated, CNN watching American, or CBC watching Canadian. This is what leftists always have to do because their entire worldview is a falsehood, grounded in a body of falsehoods. Therefore, they can never use real facts, data, or logical argument in their defense. Why? Because leftists, by definition, are in an unending war with reality.
It is the only way your mind can make sense of it all. I mean someone has to be lying of course, but you refuse to accept the possibility that these Right Wing institutes have an agenda and that they might be lying - even though I constantly prove to you that they are.
Its quite easy to see that Hackett is either lying or grossly ignorant. How do I know this? Because thirty minutes on the Internet (or years of serious reading on the subject, which again, you might try, not only here but in other areas as well) will easily show that her "facts" are embarrassingly bogus and her "myths" are in fact facts and legitimate criticisms.
Unlike a political extremist with his head buried in his own arse, I rely on those who are actually in a position to speak on the matter.
No you don't, you rely primarily on deeply partisan political activist sites with little or no intellectual gravitas.
A bunch of Canadian millionaires doesn't strike me as a group of people who are taking time out because they care about others.
More emotive class warfare bleating. Who are these? The hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have come here over the years to escape that system and get the medical care they need, so they won't sicken and perhaps die waiting for care, or to see a specialist, or to get a drug the government controlled system there will not provide?
They have their own interests at heart, and they are funded by the higher powers who wish to keep the American Health care system controlled by the drug and insurance companies.
Good grief! Marxist class warfare special pleading right out of one of my Polisci textbooks. You stay with Chomski and Moore Kevin, and I'll stick with Heritage, CATO, Von Mises, and others who actually know what they're talking about and aren't on their backs exposing their entrails and wagging their tails before the masters who provide them with the bread and circuses they so desperately desire.
They don't give a damn about quality health care or the lives of others. All they care about is the bottom line.
Sounds like Danny Glover or Dennis Kucinich raving at an International ANSWER march down Pennsylvania Avenue.

I don't think you're a liar Kevin, I just think your an utterly clueless stooge, drone, and economic illiterate who wishes to give away your own freedom and those of your fellow citizens.
You of course, have to pass on the lies of others to do this, and I do consider assiduously cultivated ignorance to be a kind of dishonesty.

And the hits just keep on coming for Dafty.
This was just released.... http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE63E2TO20100415
While It remains to be seen whether or not the monumental health care legislation passed last month will dramatically alter Americans' feelings about their country's heath system, a new online poll from Ipsos/Reuters suggests that there is certainly room for improvement.
The poll found, perhaps unsurprisingly, that people living in countries with government-run health care, such as Sweden and Canada, were generally more confident about receiving good, affordable health care than are Americans. More than 70 percent of Swedes and Canadians surveyed said it would be easy to find quality care at a reasonable price if a family member became ill, compared to just 51 percent of Americans.
And yet the survey found that not all countries with government-run health care reported such high levels of confidence: Germans, for example, were actually less optimistic than Americans. In Japan, which has universal health care, a mere 15 percent felt positive about their chances of receiving quality affordable care.
The survey, which interviewed more than 23,000 people worldwide, was conducted between November 2009 and January 2010, and therefore Americans were responding before health care reform legislation had passed.

Here is the part where we get to see dafty call Reuters a political hack organization with an agenda. Much unlike Heritage and Cato!

Reuters is part of the traditional, monoideological mainstream media, and is almost utterly politicized, like most other mainstream media sources, to one single side of every issue.
It has little journalistic credibility (about as much as your Huffington Post).

So....
How does Dafty respond to the data?
With "liar liar," as usual.
Yeah, this guy is about as small as they get among the small fries.
