Hey, if you mean, the cabin in bavaria, yes, many, many times.
My daughter's mother and her siblings rent it (for a peppercorn) from October, after the cows go down, until May, when the cows come back up. During the summer an old couple, the owners, live there. With the cows.
I've spent four New Year's Eve's there. Good times.
The dog loves it.

If you don't mind my asking, gramps, where do you live? Any trouble getting the dog from where you are to Bavaria? I know that getting a dog to England from the US is nearly impossible.

Luckily, I am in Germany. I picked her up here:
on this beach, in Greece, near Thessalonica. We camped for free for a week.
She was about eight weeks old. Just under five kilos. I was allowed to take her on the plane. She now has a Greek passport, and an EC chip behind her ear. And shots. Just an hour before departure, I gave her half a doggy valium. Piece of cake.
I don't know what I would do without her now. We are quite inseparable.
