The Dresden skyline. I'm standing on the north bank of the Elbe, looking west. Just what the World War Two pilots saw as they came in to bomb Dresden. It's nearly all rebuilt now. But not quite.

Where I learned to climb. One of the earliest, and most famous, climbing areas. Sächsische Schweiz. All sandstone.

Madagascar, on an island northeast of the main island.

This island has the best beach in the world. ;), That is all I am going to say.

Lillies.

Bananas. Lots of bananas.

Snorkeling here is fantastic. That is all I will say.

We met a Belgian woman with her young French boyfriend, who was starting up a tour operation in France.

We were all tripping our balls off.

Gramps did you get to stay in the cabin?

I still love your signature, by the way. ;)

Hey, if you mean, the cabin in bavaria, yes, many, many times.

My daughter's mother and her siblings rent it (for a peppercorn) from October, after the cows go down, until May, when the cows come back up. During the summer an old couple, the owners, live there. With the cows.

I've spent four New Year's Eve's there. Good times.

The dog loves it.

If you don't mind my asking, gramps, where do you live? Any trouble getting the dog from where you are to Bavaria? I know that getting a dog to England from the US is nearly impossible.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Luckily, I am in Germany. I picked her up here:

on this beach, in Greece, near Thessalonica. We camped for free for a week.

Image

Here she is with her mother and a brother:

She was about eight weeks old. Just under five kilos. I was allowed to take her on the plane. She now has a Greek passport, and an EC chip behind her ear. And shots. Just an hour before departure, I gave her half a doggy valium. Piece of cake.

I don't know what I would do without her now. We are quite inseparable.

Very cute pooch, gramps!

I'm a dog lover, myself. We have a Yellow Lab (female) and a German short haired pointer (male). The pointer is the most affectionate dog I've ever owned and the most trouble. I'm blaming all you Germans :).

More Utah. This is at the top of the Smith & Morehouse Reservoir. (Forgive me for the quality.)

And, this is Goblin Valley, one of my favorite spots in southern Utah.

Up on the Thai - Burma border. A Yao woman. Quite a contrast to our Ahka woman below.
