You should've asked him how many people Jesus told to leave and find another church.

It was the best move I've ever made, one to a liberal Presbyterian church whose emphasis is not on saving people, because they don't think that's their job, but on social justice, and equal treatment for all. Since I don't fit well in atheism, this was perfect, and even though my beliefs have morphed into universalism, I still fit in nicely with them.

You don't have to find a church, you know. You are allowed to stay home if you want. Either that, or invent your own church.
