Santorum is the latest poster boy for the "anybody but mitt" Republicans. He will take the lead, then quickly drop in the polls just as Perry, Cain, and Gingrich did before him.

Dunno. Catholic anger at Obama could keep him there. We want the anger to stay (and there are many more critical things to be angry at besides Obamacare's birth control regulations), but I don't believe Santorum is as electable against Obama as Romney is.

I think the idea of a great "Catholic" anger towards Obama is a little overblown. It's really a non-issue being used by Republicans in hopes that it will become a "wedge issue". I'm pretty sure that by the time of the national election it will have been forgotten.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

As shown by family sizes (do your Catholic neighbors have old-style big families any more?), most Catholics in America, as in most other advanced countries, are very likely to practice contraception despite what the celibate priests of their church teach on an official basis.

It is improbable, therefore, that Catholic voters will disfavor a candidate because he or she makes contraception or contraceptive advice more freely available.

Most Catholics side with Obama on this issue.
