Jason you know damn well that there was nothing in my responses to Scott that could have been interpreted as antagonistic or belligerent. In fact, I bowed out as soon as his ridiculous lapdog went apeshit calling Obama a Muslim and then started insulting me left and right. I never once got personal and YOU KNOW THIS, so I don't appreciate you coming in now to poison the well and pretend that Scott was somehow justified in his reaction to my innocuous responses, which consisted of nothing more than a couple hyperlinks to refuting articles. I'm quite tired of this "Kevin has a history" excuse for dismissing what was a cordial response, and dismiss it just because it happens to disrupt the worldview of the Fox News deluded. Scott didn't even agree with that Hawkins character on most of the stuff he was blathering about, but according to you, I was the problem, right?

I invited Scott to come here to discuss his theory. He was the one who announced to the entire Facebook world that he predicted everything we were hearing from the polls was just part of the larger Left Wing conspiracy, and that his source, Dick Morris, was dead on accurate in his prediction that Romney would win big. He was the guy who insisted, "mark my words." So now because I want to do exactly what he said, you accuse me of being "spiteful"?

Kevin I did not say you were spiteful but that you can come on strong and I referred to not one exchange but a number. I think it was more the last debate on a church subject really. Nor did I say you caused the problem just that Scott may have gotten tired of arguing with you.

Well, if Scott was supporting the "Obama is a muslim" and the poll conspiracy campaign, then he isn't being reasonable, his dispute with Kevin aside. I'm sorry, sometimes you just have to be brutally frank. People who still believe Obama is a muslim are plain stupid.

Dick Morris's comments allow for the possibility that all public polling firms are systematically biased due to methodological flaw. This is also highly implausible and readibly refuted by links that I'm sure Kevin was offering. Without seeing his comments, it's unclear whether Scott has fully bought into the right wing meme of there being a media conspiracy or not.

I don't understand why anyone would want to hitch their wagon to Morris though. I'm not aware of him being right about any prognostication of his that differed from common wisdom this century. I'm aware of numerous instances where he said extremely contrarian views that turned out to be as spectacularly wrong as you'd think. He's basically Ned fromthis Fed Ex commercial. Why on earth would anyone find themselves siding with him against received wisdom feel comfortable with that position?

Obama as Muslim is communist conspiracy to fluoridate our water supply territory. It's a testimony to how thoroughly motivated reasoning can corrupt a person's grasp on reality.
