We here in America have Mel Brook's The Producers (Springtime for Hitler and Germany/Winter for Poland and France!) to keep us warm, but making light of Nazi Germany has always been a touchy subject, especially for Germans.
Now there is a best seller in Germany that I can't wait to see translated into English. Entitled He's Back (Er ist wieder da), the book follows a Rumpelstiltskin conceit: Hitler wakes up (with a slight headache) in contemporary Germany in the year 2010. He's a bit confused to see Berlin intact and not overrun by Russian soldiers. People assume that he's some sort of high-camp performance artist who never gets out of character, and find him hilarious. He gets a guest spot on a Turkish talk show....
Sounds a bit like Jerzy Kosinski's Being There.
Anyway, can't wait for the English Tranlation.

I'm sure it's no "Heil Honey, I'm Home", but it sounds promising.
