Really?

That is really bizarre!

I have been coaching my 11 year old boy's (the real Ceeboo) youth baseball team for 4 years now. In addition to absolutely loving it, it has given us (Dad and Son) some GREAT and VERY PRECIOUS SHARED memories together that I am extremely fond of as well as very grateful for!

Kudos for coaching! People that haven't done it don't understand the fun and frustration involved.

I helped a friend coach a little league football team many years ago. The kids were fantastic! Some of the parents were less so. By the end of the season my main job was to run interference between some of the more vocal dads (and moms) and my friend, the coach.

Yes, there certainly can be a flavor (many flavors) of frustration but the joy clearly wins that battle!

Hi friend!

OK. Not good enough, huh?

Here's an embarrassing moment (only one of many in my life):

The first week in my first year at high school I noticed a girl that I hadn't seen before as we passed in the hallways. I was sure at the time that she was the cutest girl on the planet. I longed to talk to her, but since she was perfect, I was pretty certain that she wouldn't be interested in me. I couldn't face the ultimate rejection. I resigned myself to worshiping from afar.

One day, reading in the school library, I became aware of a presence standing in front of me. I looked up and it was her. She smiled (she had a beautiful smile) and said "Hi". Did I ask her to sit and join me? No.

I was surprised and stunned. So stunned that words would not come out of my mouth. I could only smile back and nod my head. She slowly walked away.

Although I am not very good at it, I LOVE to cook (Always trying new recipes and such). One of my recent "Winners" was sweet and spicy beef jerkey! I made it in the oven and It was AWESOME!!!!

One of my favorite TV programs is the antique roadshow! (drives my bride crazy, she shakes her head and leaves the room EVERY time I watch it)

What say you?

I love to cook, too. More proof that Quasi is Ceeboo's sock puppet. I work at home, so making dinner falls to me. My wife is very happy about this. I'm especially fond of baking pastries (learned from me old Mum). I'm not terribly fond of cleaning up the kitchen afterwards, but that job falls to me, too.

Having a strong interest in all things old (history, antiques, and myself), I love the "Antique Roadshow". I keep dreaming of buying a dusty old painting at a yard sale for five bucks and having it appraised at a million plus.
