Yes, that is probably a more likely source than The Onion, but it still is looks very much like it could have come from The Onion. It is a sorry state of affairs when prominent right wing officials seriously promote ideas that are virtually indistinguishable from deliberate satire.
That article was written by a race-obsessed blacktivist who is trying to horn in on the grievance industry, not a right-wing official.

Thanks for the correction, doc. But I wasn't necessarily referring only to Kendi. Whom I had more in mind by that remark was Ken Starr and his remark about counting every vote was somehow criminal. I recognize that Kendi is neither prominent nor a public official, though probably right wing.

No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
Kenneth Starr, indeed. This thing the GOP (funded by the Koch brothers) has been going on since the 80’s, but really kicked into high gear in the mid to late 90’s. It’s astonishing to see it happen so overtly and in real time thanks to the Internet. And yet, it grinds forward.

Wow! Thanks for the link to that enlightening but scary Salon article. It certainly helps to clarify the Trump phenomenon and what led up to it.

Do wild-eyed statements by conservatives really need an attribution?
When you see a pile of dog poop on the ground, do you immediately demand to know which dog it came from? The exception would be if you were on canine patrol and wanted the owner to clean it up.
Otherwise, you realize it is a pile of conservatism and try not to step in it.
I first heard about it from Ben Shapiro who read it on Twitter.
It would really help if you would please link to your sources in your posts.
I suspect that he realizes that by revealing some of the sources on which he relies, he would only further embarrass and discredit himself.

Yeah, it's likely ajax fears that if we saw his sources, we would explain what they really mean, or thoroughly debunk them, and he would lose the fantasy he superimposed over that information.
Not a doctor. I wonder if he's dumb enough to think he's influencing anyone with arguments based on pure BS.
ETA: I suspect he just likes to whine, and imagines that his whining perturbs "leftists."
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.
