I don't feel vilified...perhaps degraded a wee bit on occasion, but in a way that doesn't offend me. Although I have been occasionally mocked or proffered the occasional friendly ribbing, such retorts here are bantamweight and kid-glove gentle compared to the sharp wits of my closest friends and family.

I don't sense animosity here in this forum. Disagreement, sure, but that's to be expected on any topic, and it's generally on friendly terms. If such animosity exists, I'm not aware of it.
ldsfaqs wrote:They personally attack you, falsely degrade you and others, etc. It's why this forum even exists, to be bigots...
I don't find that to be the case. I believe people tend to treat another in the same way that other treats them. If they are treated with mutual respect, that courtesy will generally be returned, and people will engage and/or disagree on friendly terms.

In response, I'd invite you to reflect on the meaning of the word bigot. Please take this in the friendly way intended: the tenor of your posting sometimes comes across as more bigoted than anything else I read here. Rather than take offense at that, as a neighbor, I invite you to give it some careful thought.
ldsfaqs wrote:Remember, even the most perfect man to have lived on the earth was reviled and hated.... you can't EVER "please" evil unless you yourself become like it, embracing it.
I think you exaggerate a bit. Those who hated Jesus were not the typical Jews, but were rather those few in power who feared that His growing influence with those he served would topple corrupt leaders from their cushy Rome-appointed positions of power.
ldsfaqs wrote:Righteous indignation has it's place, it's up to you where your line is......
There's nothing in this forum that makes me feel indignant in the least. The self-serving slaughter of thousands of people at home and abroad, on the other hand, that certainly makes me beyond indignant.

Understood. I'm precisely where I belong. Happy New Year! :0)
