Trump threatens Civil War

Trump issued a threat that his supporters will start a Civil War if he is impeached. That threat itself is grounds for impeachment. This only confirms that Trump is revolting in more ways than a bunch of South American colonels.

We do know that wacky right-wingers, ultra-nationalists, and conservative talk show listeners respond very well to Trump and do like to stockpile weapons. Does this pose an alarming threat/clear and eminent danger?

I fear that it does indeed pose an alarming threat/clear and imminent danger. The problem is that, like Trump himself, his base supporters seem incapable of admitting even to the merest possibility of being wrong or having made a mistake about anything, especially about Trump. They are almost all classic examples of the backfire effect.

Read the comments at Breitbart and Infowars. Crazy stuff. I'm sure many of those comments are bots, but some are real. Trump has cult like support from 35% of the country. Even if only half of those supporters are truly nuts, that's a fairly large minority group who are publicly (though anonymously) talking about taking up arms against the communist traitors in washington if Trump is removed from office. In my opinion, they're not a real threat. It's all tough-guy talk behind anonymous online accounts, but we could have a few lone nuts that might try something.

In order to make war (and be taken seriously), you have to organize. I'd like to know who's going to round up all the damned idiot malcontents in this country and mobilize them against Washington (assuming the US military is just going to stand by and watch it happen - the military is supposed to defend the Constitution, not the President).
