Question for Dr. Shades

Post by _Gunnar »

Why is your website shown as a not secure site in the URL banner at the top of my screen? I am a bit nervous about and makes me question whether I want to continue to participate in it. Can you do anything to change that status?
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

it's because it's http, not https, and so your connection is not encrypted. The NSA in Utah can read your plain-text passwords from traffic replicated to spans the NSA pressured ISPs to place throughout the country, which is then fed to appliances that analyze the content for key words. Of course, an apologist working for the NSA could exploit the situation, get your password and read all your PMs or post as you.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

The solution is to use only non-key words. Also, unplug all household appliances before posting. And use finger cots.

You do realize they would have to get the written permission of the Danite Chairman before initiating any posts as Mormon Discussions posters?

So do I find out which words are key words so I can avoid them?

And is there anything Shades can do to make this a HTTPS site?

I pity the poor NSA employee tasked with reading my posts.

Beats me.

Can you do anything to change that status? . . . And is there anything Shades can do to make this a HTTPS site?

Unfortunately, no. I don't have any idea how to do that. And even if I did, I don't have high enough clearance to make such changes. (That's an issue for Mav, the legal owner, not me.)

Relax, you need a seer stone to read the password files.
