I wonder if this is unprecedented, that a sitting President is being forced to seek refuge underground because of threats by his own citizens.
Is he finished making America great again?

Re: Trump Being Moved to Underground Bunker
He's such an awesome speaker to the people, though. They should let him out so he can address his adoring fans personally, the people of the USA. Wouldn't that be a special moment for the country?
Why would he hide? I thought the people loved him.

Re: Trump Being Moved to Underground Bunker
I already posted that in the other thread that you started about Mr. Floyd's murder.
This is the sixties on steroids.
I hope everyone realizes (and I think that most here do) that there's a complete and utter absence of leadership in this country and I'm not just talking about our President hunkered down in an underground bunker either. The cowardly bastard.
I took the liberty of checking where possible emergent leaders are right now. Um, religious leaders are calling for prayer from the comfort of their own homes, civil rights leaders have prepared written statements and well, President is hogging down a bucket of KFC and probably tweeting his worthless ass off in a bunker when the dumbass should be making a goddamn address on national television calling for calm, pledging solutions with some sort of already assembled coalition made up of law enforcement, religious, and civil rights organizations--basically anybody he can get his greasy hands on.
But no.
We get tweets. damned tweets. From the President. The damned President. About shooting and looting, vicious dogs and ominous weapons (the likes of which he's never seen before ), shaming the governors and mayors of this nation, painting them as weaklings (remember who is in the bunker, okay) threatening military action.vidiouis
There's not one person in a leadership position in this country who is willing and able to get in the street, who has the ability to unify this nation, and the one who by rights should be able to do that---is hiding his cowardly ass in an underground bunker because he's the biggest “F” up this country has ever seen in the White House whose only talent is to force feed the American public a crap sandwich every day of our freaking lives under his miserable so-called administration.
I wasn't off topic, was I?
p.s. Oh and in case anyone missed it. We're screwed.

The Trump Administration has opened a civil rights investigation and the President has asked the Attorney General and the Justice Department to expedite it.

"My Administration will always stand against violence, mayhem, and disorder.
We will stand with the family of George Floyd, with the peaceful protestors, and with every law-abiding citizen who wants decency, civility, safety, and security."

I've actually been obsessing about this topic for a few years now, and the pandemic made all of my worries come to fruition.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 4:44 amI hope everyone realizes (and I think that most here do) that there's a complete and utter absence of leadership in this country and I'm not just talking about our President hunkered down in an underground bunker either. When I say Trump voters are morons, it's because they were too damned stupid to see this was coming (and most of these damned morons still don't get it). Trump is, and has always been, clearly incompetent (and damned lazy obviously). You have to have your head squarely up your ass to have not noticed that when he ran for office (or if you caught a few snippets of the Apprentice, when his idiocy was first on public display). You had to be wowed by the myth that he was a self-made man, ignoring that he had the kind of personality that would make anyone fail over and over again, like he does. The only reason people didn't notice what a failure he was is that his daddy bailed him out over and over again.
He's a malcontent who knows how to move other malcontents. He's a moron who knows how to move other morons. That's all he knows - asshole life.
Leadership? HA! You might as well ask a slug to dance. His brand of leadership is, Hey guys, let's go flip a cop car!!
