I can't see how encouraging people in general not to think it is wisest to comply quietly with police arrests is doing them any service.
That's what provides the advice cover. Of course you should comply with police. I'm saying that if one is offering that as a rebuttal to the rate of African American killings by police officers, I see that as a racist dog-whistle.

I can easily imagine being an African American just driving my car and getting pulled over, wondering why I'm being stopped. I can sit there and try to be as complaint as possible, but given what I know about racial injustice in this country, trying to stay calm might be akin to the kind of discipline it would take to play dead around an angry grizzly bear. People become irrational when gripped with fear.

Hi Some Schmo,

If you are unable to resist using foul language, please just type the word out regularly and let the word censor do its job.

Thank you.
Nope, it's still not working. It just eliminates them.

And by the way, there has been no attempt on my part to "resist" using any particular words. I use the words I think are appropriate for the thoughts I'm trying to articulate. The only time I resist using a word is if I don't think it's right for the context.

Do you spend a lot of energy trying to resist using certain words, Shades?
