I don't think anyone's senses have been dulled. I think what we're witnessing is a GOP base who no longer cares about appearing hypocritical/stupid. They can identify corruption no problem if a Democrat's doing it. They don't care about crime; they care about the political party who's reputation's at stake.
You are probably right. It is only the corruption and criminality within their own ranks to which their sense of outrage is dulled. I am reminded of how Al Franken was pressured to resign from the Senate by even his own party for an insensitive prank, though admittedly foolish, that paled into insignificance compared to many things that GOP politicians have blatantly gotten away with, with hardly a trace of censure or criticism (if any) from their GOP fellows, let alone some of the things Trump has gotten away with. Nor did even Franken himself fight the justice of his censure, though he probably could have, and gotten away with it had he pushed to do so. What a huge contrast between the two parties and their respective levels of hypocrisy! And I am not even claiming that Even Democrats, themselves, are entirely free of hypocrisy.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I'm still pissed at Democrats for going along with this action just to appear to take a "higher" moral ground. Franken was the politician I most enjoyed listening to and he would have provided the best commentary on the Impeachment hearings.

Agree with both of you. That is certainly one of the left's biggest issues: they tend to overreact. Both parties are out of balance, although the right is more than out of balance. They are also off the rails.

Yep!

After the election, Trump will probably have his gold leaf train car placed on the Trans-Siberian Railway.
