Rate the Creeper

I mentioned this in real time on the board just as it took place and then deleted because it had nothing to do with thread. I want to run this by you guys and see what you have to say about it.

So. I was on our little mountain type community residents private Facebook group the other night where I had posted a thing to get together a tribute to a long time resident who is about to hit a big milestone birthday. I'm talking big. This person has contributed so much to all of our residents and used to be so highly visible though of course they are very old now and aren't out and about very much these days. So I also mention the name of a person I wanted to hit up for advice on how to get cards to the resident. That person, too, is very involved and visible in the community for various reasons and I figured this guy would have the answers for me about how to do this for the resident. His wife also posts in the group so I thought between the two of them one of them would come up with some ideas/ways to pull off a birthday card celebration.

So I dunno, about 20 minutes later he comes up with the address of the resident. I post a thank you. Within seconds of my thank you, he sends me a friend request. I accepted it right away--I NEVER do that! But I figured this is an old guy, visible, and so what. Right?

Here is the conversation that took place in messenger. I'll call him "Charlie".

Me: Hey thanks for providing the address, Charlie! Much appreciated.
Charlie: r u a lassy?
Me: Of course, my husband and I have spoken to you at (location and thing.)
Charlie: Where r u from? (Mentions some location in the world that I think is where he is from.)
Me: :surprised: Creep o' meter pings. Block. Boom. Done. Gone.

So. Would you guys be so kind as to rate this experience? Creeper or not? What do you think?
