Xanax’s notion that COVID was harmless ignores the 1.2M Americans who died and the millions more left with lasting heart, brain, or lung damage. Just because Ajax got off easy doesn't change the facts: the virus packed emergency rooms to the brim, crushed hospital systems, and easily spread through people who felt completely fine and had no idea they were passing it to someone else. Measures like vaccines, masks, and temporary shut downs weren't some political scam. They kept hospitals functioning and saved millions of high-risk people who couldn't just lock themselves away from the rest of the world.
The next serious pandemic that happens will be devastating for citizens because MAGA and anti-vaxxers poisoned the well with regard to medical science.
A close member of my family was killed by the damage done by a COVID infection, which they caught because their carers were not yet vaccinated and did not practice adequate precautions. And that happened to many many others.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused to Ajax for the precautions that saved many other lives, of course. That really sucks.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

Not only have I denounced the Big Lie, I have denounced the Big lie big lie.
Anyone weak enough to die from COVID should have been quarantined.
And how would you have determined that?
Enough with the reasonable questions, already!!

It wasn't always obvious who was weak enough to die from Covid, on the one hand, people already in care facilities probably count but they were already more or less quarantined. A lot of people had underlying conditions they didn't know about like cancer. And then there were all these big barrel-chested dudes who worked out all the time and got way sicker than most people did. Well, it's good to learn Ajax is as shallow as we already knew. It turns out he's not a man of principle at all and has no issues taking away the freedoms of others as long as it isn't him.

He's the worst kind of person imaginable. He thinks he's righteous in his cruelty.
Which is why I can't help but consider idiotically religious people the cancer America suffers. People like ajax make America damned crappy, which is basically saying assholes suck.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.
