So, having seen a couple of useful idiots show their asses lately, I think it’s tacking on another point worth considering given Trump and his Rasputin.
I read a book when I was in service called Information Warfare - I think it was written in the 90’s, but I picked it up in 2003 when I was assigned to USASOC. At the time we, our unit specifically, were trying to figure out how our networks were vulnerable to outside and inside threats. The guy who wrote the book had been sounding the alarm about all the things we’re experiencing these days from social conditioning to personal data being used to target pockets of people to influence policy, etc. Long story short we created a section from the Signals guys that was solely dedicated to hardening our networks, and then we added a couple of guys in the security section to write and enforce user policy that was pretty layered and ahead of its time - when the whole Bradley Manning wikileaks thing happened our organization was essentially invisible other than as collateral damage due to other units’ poor security.
One thing we realized early on at the unit was that being a void, being invisible, allows you to function far better than being transparent, where the public is being manipulated by everyone - there's really no good way to stop people from believing what they want to believe, once they've decided they want to believe it. The best counterintelligence measures you can employ is to basically go off grid, as it were. No social media presence. No footprint. Just a ghost in the system, because the system is compromised, all the time.
There are literally government shill agencies in Russia, China, Israel, and a handful of other countries where paid actors or agents spend their days sowing chaos across multiple platforms. What we’re seeing is a concerted effort by various state actors successfully buying influence within the GQP and DNC while simultaneously waging a sustained psyop on the West to keep us fractured, confused, and distracted. Whether it’s overwhelming the public with BS or just pushing a false narrative, this is a full court press. by the way, A.I. has entered the chat and now sites like Reddit and Twitter that don’t have anti-bot measures in place are deluged with ‘em, but most real users are unaware of it. They’re very sophisticated.
Anyway. If the discerning reader ever wonders why and how the GQP’ers can continue to be stunningly moronic, and worse, proud of their ignorance it’s because they’re literally dupes. It’s funny because they think the balkanization of the US or giving in to authoritarianism will somehow solve their mental illness, but they never really think things through. The manipulation will never stop. It’ll only become more pervasive and sophisticated. I don’t know what this means for a genuinely retarded electorate, but if Xanax and Atlantic Mike are any indication, I’m not hopeful for the Republic or the West, for that matter.
