Roger,

Pizza and Lasagna are the ONLY way to go! I'm right there with you! We typically have a Christmas dinner of Lasagna by candle light...in our jammies!

I'm so not kidding!

Last night I spilled an entire shot glass of Jack Daniels on my key board during an exchange with DCP and it wiped it out. All I could do was turn the computer off and go to bed. I got a new keyboard today and I'm amazed how fast it types! There isn't any delays between the strokes.

I've only had two shots tonight. maybe one more. I need to think about my liver.

Let's have another shot and toast our good friend, DCP! Hip hip hurray!

I love drunk posts. DCP can die in a soup. Stachesuppe, right Jersey Girl?

Yes. Stirred lovingly.

Can you post the recipes for these?

"cranberry pineapple jello salad
pomegranite and apple salad"

If you don't have them personally, could you get them?

Easy one:

1 pomegranite, seeds taken out and put into a bowl
1 apple, chopped
Whipped cream.

Cranberry jello salad

1 can crushed pineapple, drained and add water to juice to make 1 cup
1 lg package raspberry jello

boil water/juice. Add jello, stir to dissolve.

In bowl, put 1 8 oz package cream cheese (softened) and 2 T mayonnaise. Stir till mixed. Stir in jello till mixed.

Add the pineapple, a can whole berry cranberry sauce, and 1-2 cups chopped walnuts. Mix until blended. Add 2 cups Cool Whip until blended. Put into a pretty bowl and chill 2 hours or overnight.

I just tasted mine. It's yummy!

Turkey day dinner menu

Much simpler in the Moksha household:

Turkey
Cranberries
Broccoli-cheese casserole
Rolls
Non-alcoholic black currant wine

Ice cream for dessert - chocolate or strawberry

It is my year to have the kids (boy age 23, boy age 17 (his birthday), girl age 11) for Thanksgiving. On off years when they are with their mother, I do Thanksgiving in Vegas.

Per the kids' request, this is what we are having -

Creamy pineapple salad

Sweet Hawaiian bread rolls w/ butter

Honey baked ham

Whipped cheesy garlic mashed potatoes w/ bacon and green onions

Corn

Pumpkin pie w/ whipped cream

Birthday cake - chocolate w/ white frosting.

My oldest son has developmental disabilities. His menu is fairly limited. He just wants a pizza for Thanksgiving, but has promised me he will try a bite of ham and potatoes.

Afterwards they want to go see the Sandra Bullock football movie..."Blind Side"?? Should be a fun day.
