And I tend to be excessively tolerant, and forgiving, which is what got me so mad when the scales were lifted.

Poor parker was making too much sense that he was reported for attempting to convert the catholics. Thus, he was banned.
Mormons come to a Catholic board with tales of a great apostasy. Rude, if you ask me, but they are allowed to express their beliefs. Catholics are allowed to refute them.
I liked ParkerD, but his posts got weirder and weirder towards the end of his time at CAF. Contradicting what he had said previously, and finally, blatantly anti-Catholic instead of the usual passive-aggressive anti-Catholicism that is the norm among Mormons, and especially normal for ParkerD. Honestly, I think he was letting other people use his login, because he changed that much. Like it wasn't even him. Nothing would get you banned faster than just one of those things (using someone else's account or blatant anti-Catholicism).
I hope the real ParkerD is doing well.

No such thing as excessive forgiveness. But it is good to be shrewd. No one says you have to be a doormat!

Now Maddy, I have something to whisper to you...come closer to your computer because I do not want MCB and Hobs to hear me...that's right...come closer...are you ready?...Parker was banned because the mods received complaints about his posts. His posts were not anticatholic even though he did respond to multitudes of antimormon posts. Poor parker had to hear over and over disparaging remarks about church leaders from Smith to Monson and respond countless of times about the same issues that the antimormons would bring up. He also attempted to explain Mormon beliefs over and over again to hostile posters who mocked, bashed, and laughed at the Mormon faith. Not easy.
Now maddy, why do Mormons come to the catholic board? Because when they read the outrageous comments on that board about Mormons and Mormonism they need to respond and defend their church. It is really that simple. There are a host of LDS defenders who have been banned for no other reason than for defending the LDS faith against bigoted attacks against Mormons and Mormonism. Read the posts from these former Mormons who now post there and see their hatred and how this hatred destroys any discussion about Mormons and Mormonism.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

And yet, you were never a Mormon. And so who lifted your scales? Have your scales been lifted with the number of victims of sex abuse in the catholic church? And how some priests could give the communion and do their molesting behind curtains? And how the catholic church covered this all up to protect itself? Lets be real here. Now of course, if I would counter like this on the catholic taliban board in response to the hatred shown to the LDS church, I would be reported and eventually banned.
Such are the scales over your eyes on that board.

So, calling them names like "taliban" is a chrislike thing?
Maybe you should take some of your own advice, and try to find Christ, and ease the hatred in your soul.
You're just jealous because you are BANNED....![]()
Which of course you brought on yourself, with your own actions. Oh wait, what am I saying, it has to be someone else's fault. After all, isn't that the Mormon way? Especially yours.
I was too honest by calling myself catholic and Mormon. It rocked the antimormon cart and they couldn't get over it. The catholic taliban were constantly on my case about it. However, Geraldo Reviera is often saying on his radio program that he is catholic and jewish. And that's fine with me. But how can one be catholic and jewish? Maybe he should take it to the catholic taliban on caf. They seem to be very open minded and tolerant....
The Mormon discussions are too unpleasant even for many catholics which is why the antimormon catholic posters are basically limited to a few. Most good and tolerant catholics do not want to be involved with the hatred. And the mods have attempted to use a small twig to rein some of the hatred in. But in reality, CAF does not mind other religions being mocked or bashed. They created the atmosphere and allow it to exist. Are they taliban...? I will leave to you...an open minded individual.

Nah not jealous, he's an angry bitter x-member who left CAF but can't leave it alone, evidenced by his ranting about it here and on MAD.

Apples and oranges, as usual. Geraldo never posted on CAF to my knowledge, or yours. What he does or doesn't do outside of that venue is irrelevant, and a dodge.
What they couldn't get over is your constant lying. You're no more Catholic, than the man in the moon. (If I remember correctly, that is Mormon territory)
Conversations unpleasant? Posters on both sides limited? LOL, there are new ones joining in the conversations all the time and when conversation gets off topic, or heated, the mods do step in. Unlike over at the momo board. BUSTED!!
You however are/were notorious for your drive by slams against the Catholic Church. You would make some inane comment, and when refuted, never bothered to respond. You know, just like you do hear.
For someone who "claimed" to be Catholic, your behavior defending the missionaries who desecrated the Catholic shrine was shameful at besst.
You're the one calling the taliban. Not anyone here. Guess that lets you out of the christlike behavior now doesn't it.
The mods over there are allowing honest discussion about the failings of smith and Mormonism. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad.

Your condescending tone aside, I saw the last of ParkerD's posts that have been deleted, before he was banned. They were unusually anti-Catholic (for him). I concede, he may have been pushed over the limit of patience, and lost his composure.
But, whatever, the Mormon threads have run out there. How often and for how long can Catholics tolerate and refute the lies of Mormons? Just go back and read previous threads, there isn't any need to create any more of them.
