The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said it has engaged Edelman Public Relations Worldwide to assist the church in global public affairs matters.
"Our objective is a long-term program that supports the church's global mission to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ," said Bruce L. Olsen, managing director of public affairs for the church.LDS Church membership recently surpassed nine million worldwide. There are more than 21,000 LDS congregations in 150 nations and territories.
Edelman has 29 offices world-wide.
