You didn't finish. Please do. Black is...

Be my guest. As leftists are the only real institutional racists left in the American body politic - save for the Klan itself - I thought this might be an clear invitation for you to fill in the blanks.

How odd that members of the protected class in this country have higher unemployment rates, lower wages, higher rates of poverty, more health problems, and less insurance coverage.

All of which have clear, well understood cultural factors associated with them that can and have been empirically determined and which are philosophically discernible as elements and sociocultural features of the welfare state itself.

Dofish liberal white guy? Black power?

The actual issue they are talking about is the fact that a super-majority of Americans disagree with the politics angry old white guys such as yourself. How do you feel about that?

I don't think this really went over your head. I think you're just pretending it did.

For anyone interested in the entire clip, which the right-wing blogsphere is ignoring, you can access it here:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8004316/ns/video/#49771592

Obviously this was nothing but a joke in the midst of an otherwise serious conversation. Now whether or not the joke was in good taste is another question, of course, and probably at least partly depends on one's sensitivity to the abortion issue.

Yeah, she's a CBS contributor. The broadcast was on MSNBC.

As to relative abortion rates among American blacks, there has been a decline over the years in absolute numbers, but the rate of abortions among American blacks is around 50 per 50 per 1,000 woman, as compared with 14 for white women and 22 for other minorities.

Black rates of teen unwed pregnancy are two to four times greater than their white peers.

I guess I'm a little fuzzy on your point. Are you trying to say that Black girls are more promiscuous than White girls or are you saying that they have less access to birth control?

Either way they don't help your earlier argument very much.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Then it's not a protected class at all, is it?

What you're really saying is that you believe minorities are "allowed" to make jokes or statements with racial implications that you take offense to without causing outrage. Yet your link, and the MANY others on the right wing blogosphere that one can access through google, shows that there IS outrage about it.

So what the heck are you whining about? Just feel like whining cuz you LOST?

Obviously, you're a typical leftist caught with your hand is the race card cookie jar spinning furiously to extricate yourself from your own hypocrisy. I see nothing -nothing - here that changes the geneal tenor and substance of the words spoken, or their meaning.

Melissa at one point says, immediately following Gile's comment, "There is always eugenics associated with this question." She was being perfectly serious and was not joking. Now, for you I wish to ask:

1. What did she mean? In what way is eugenics associated with the question of the roundtable discussion they were having, which was the demographics of Obama vs. Romney voters? What does eugenics have to do with being against convenience abortion on demand?

2. Do you think Melissa is aware of the overwhelming popularity of eugenics among her own intellectual and ideological forebears in the 1930s (the progressive Left, generally)?

3. Are you aware of this historical reality?

I watched the rest of the discussion, and I saw nothing whatsoever that altered the nature of the statements that were made.

Nothing.

They didn't elaborate on them again, its true, but nothing coming after them in any way modified their logical and conceptual content as propositions. Words mean things, and every time leftists get caught in logical, historical, or moral gaffs, they cry "out of context!" or "Nothing to see here!"

Its the same grey, dreary, intellectual and moral sham generation after generation after generation, and it will probably only end when civilization - in any tolerable sense - is finally gone.

American Blacks are killing their own children in glass tubes?

It's very hard to follow your logic when you don't really understand the terms you are using.

I don't know who I love more:

1) Droopy, for being a fifty-something-year-old man, and still thinking in vitro means something inside those mysterious lady parts

or

2) Quasi, for not only making it all the way through a Droopy post, but reading one for comprehension.

NOTHING in the rest of the conversation followed up on that point. It was OBVIOUSLY not the topic. Yes, she made an offensive joke/statement.

YOUR point in your OP was that she got away with this horrific travesty because she's one of the "protected class". That is utter garbage. Your side is screaming outrage, just like my side screamed outrage when Bill Bennet said you could reduce crime by aborting all black babies. So she hasn't gotten away with it, and she certainly isn't part of a protected class.

I'm not interested in debating her actual statement, and yes, I am well aware of the history of the connection of eugenics to abortion. If that had been your primary point, I wouldn't have responded. But your primary point was, as seen in your thread title, that this is a black racist flaunting her protected status. That is nonsense. But then, it did come out of your mouth.

This country is going to be so much better off once this white, old fart generation dies off.
