When are the Democratic Politicians in California going to restore Dental Insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal?? The Democratic Party has controlled both the State Assembly and the State Senate in California since 1996. Dental insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal got eliminated over three and a half years ago there. Yet Democratic Jerry Brown has been Governor of California for about two years now, but the Dental Insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal has not been restored yet. When will it be restored there??

I live on the other side of the country, so can't help you. I'm not even sure what medi-cal is. Do you support the restoration of dental insurance?

From Wikipedia:

The California Medical Assistance Program (Medi-Cal or MediCal) is the name of the California Medicaid program serving low-income families, seniors, persons with disabilities, children in foster care, pregnant women, and certain low-income adults. It is jointly administered by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), with many services implemented at the local level mainly by the counties of California. Approximately 8.8 million people were enrolled in Medi-Cal for at least 1 month in 2009-10, or about 23% of California's population.[1]

...

Effective July 2009, Medi-Cal no longer offers Dental Insurance for people over 21 years of age. Medi-Cal has not paid for male neonatal non-therapeutic circumcision since 1982.[6]

California now clearly has the highest State sales tax rate in the Nation, which is now at 7.5%. Louisiana has a sales tax rate, which is much lower at 4.0%.

A High Sales Tax Rate is Regressive in nature, hurting mostly the Low-income earning People and Poor People. If California wants to continue having the highest State sales tax in the Nation, then Yes, I do think that the Democratic Politicians in California should restore Dental Insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal there.

So what's the solution, brackite?

Have those Dentists for Humanity add Utah and California to their missionary list.

Need the Optometrists for Humanity to also add Utah.

Dear beastie,

How about restoring Dental Insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal there, since California now clearly has the highest State sales tax rate in the Nation, and since the Democratic Politicians now are fully and totally in control there??

With a Supermajority, California Democrats Begin to Make Plans:

Also, California's Economy has been improving the last few months there, so there is no good reason why the Democratic Politicians won't be able to restore Dental Insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal.

California Finds Economic Gloom Starting to Lift:

The Democratic Party Needs to actually Prove that they care more about the Poor People than the Republican Party does, by giving more than just lip service to the Poor People. We will see in California how long it will take them to restore Dental Insurance for people over 21 who are on medi-cal, since there are No excuses for them not to anymore there.

Well, then, I hope that's what they do.
