You might consider this:

More than 20 years ago, I conducted a study of firearm-related deaths in homes in Seattle and surrounding King County, Washington. Over the study's seven-year interval, more than half of all fatal shootings in the county took place in the home where the firearm involved was kept. Just nine of those shootings were legally justifiable homicides or acts of self-defense; guns kept in homes were also involved in 12 accidental deaths, 41 criminal homicides and a shocking 333 suicides. A subsequent study conducted in three U.S. cities found that guns kept in the home were 12 times more likely to be involved in the death or injury of a member of the household than in the killing or wounding of a bad guy in self-defense.

The real question the media keeps avoiding is how many lives do guns save? I'd wager it's far more than guns take.

Not only that, but the MILLIONS murdered in just the last 100 years in genocides and similar because they were not even ALLOWED to defend themselves when most would have, is completely ignored. That's not to mention the number of "individuals" in the world who as "habit" AND "force of law" don't carry guns but end up VICTIMS of violence and murder.

Kevin, "Gun Control" has done it's job well in murdering the innocent. Great job.

If more people were even allowed to carry or did carry when allowed, there would be far less victims. Your "bet" is essentially meaningless, because if people did have guns, there WOULD be far more "saved" compared to gun death by whatever means. Also, don't forget reported gun deaths count ALL gun deaths, not just murders. They count self defense uses in most cases, so the stats are off.
