You mean like Rick Warren and the Cardinal Archbishop Dolan.

The congregration chooses the parish council.

The parish council chooses the rector.

The rector chooses the preacher who gives the sermon.

The preacher says what he wants.

Obama walks across Lafayette Square on Easter morning and sits down in the President's Pew in the Church of Presidents.

How is that Obama injecting himself into anything?

bcspace's sub line is a bald face lie.

he is also a mannerless troll.

You're not.

Every President since James Madison has visited St. John's, but Obama could be the first President that was directly responsible for the content of an Easter sermon:

bcspace wrote:"His presence induces it, he tacitly agrees, and it comes from his side, from his own doctrine. His itching ears takes him to churches and pastors that will teach his message."

So now Obama is not only responsible for what he says, he's responsible for everybody else says in his presence.

Of course I could be objecting to your argument because Obama is 'inducing' me to do so.

Hadn't thought about that. Mustn't let Obama get inside my head. Maybe I should change the tin foil on my colander hat. That must be it: the tin foil is worn out, and I'm agreeing with Obama because he is inducing me to do so.

Obama spent Saturday on the golf course at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and later attended the NCAA basketball matchup between Syracuse and Marquette in the “Elite Eight” round of the March Madness tournament.

"The sermon was delivered by The Rev. Luis Leon, whom Obama tapped in January to deliver the benediction at his second inauguration after controversy forced his first pick for that slot to step aside."

i am sure any similarities between the sermon and contemporary politics was purely coincidental  and that those similarities being in goosestep with the President's agenda were surely likewise - just because the sermon read like a White House press release is obviously another unfounded and unlikely coincidence.

what is interesting is the scripture readings from Exodus and Romans.

That being said, i do not think i can agree with the following quote form the sermon, and this quote may be the most revealing for this sermon being nothing more than a political opportunity:

“The message of Easter is about the power of love over loveless power.”
followed by
"“Easter vision” means recognizing reality in a new and wonderful way."

The vitriolic, venom spewing, wagon-circling responses here have been quite instructive.

Personality cults centered around externalized representations of messianic hopes of ideologically-framed redemption and judgement/punishment of ideological sin are among the harshest of intellectual, psychological, and emotional burdens, grievous to be borne.

It is, indeed, hard to agree with nebulous mush such as this, especially when paired with the concept of Easter, the "message" of which everyone knows perfectly well can be stated by any child.

As usual, the drones are just protecting the hive and its Dear Leader:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government ... ious-Right

Keep in mind please, that this president is a man who spent 20 years sitting in the pews of a church belonging to one of the most unhinged racists and anti-American demagogues the American Left and black power cultures have ever produced, and who openly took the likes of Jim Wallis (http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/indi ... indid=1833) as their personal "spiritual adviser" (even a cursory look at Wallis' ideological background and interests will reveal why Obama found him to his liking).

Nothing Obama does is not political. Nothing he says does not have ideological weight. Obama is an ideologue driven by a vision - the vision of the anointed.

After a hard foul, a Marguette player called a Syracuse player a dirty idiot out of the ref's hearing.

Obama, baller that he is, held responsible.

A lie is a lie and pointing it out isn't venom spewing.
You guy are doing the wagon circling and it is around a lie. Are you proud of that?

What lie? bc said Obama "injected" his own ideologically oriented racism and political spleen into the Easter presentation, and he did, through his keynote speaker.

And?
