Well. The cowboy hat here is the online bullying of women. The cowboys that wear that hat are the MRA/gamergate/4Chan crowd.

I read what little there is out there. I don’t see any evidence of SJWs or 4channers. People that were specifically mentioned were gay porn actors who accused her of spreading false information. It sounds like a kind of porn industry inside baseball dispute.

She had said in a podcast interview a while back that she suffered from bipolar and multiple personality disorder. She would have bouts of depression in which she would cancel all of her appointments and stay in bed for a couple of weeks.

I also didn’t see any references to things that we generally refer to as online bullying. No reference to death threats, rape threats, violence in general, degrading photoshopped pictures. Aside from profanity, I couldn’t find much beyond stuff we say to each other here in heated arguments.

I also found some indication that the suicide rate among porn stars is quite high.

But, hey, can’t let a little thing like evidence get in the way of taking a shot at a group you hate, amirite?

Thanks for doing some background digging for clarity, RI. I didn't really have the desire to sift through her life, suicides always get to me.

Whatever her reasons and feelings I just earnestly hope her family and friends can come to term with it. There are few things more jarring and upsetting than losing a loved one to their own hand. I'm at least partially relieved to know that she maybe wasn't harassed into this, per se.

No. The cowboy hat, and I'm saddened you missed the point, is that SJW crybullies use their victim status as a cudgel with which to bludgeon others.

I'm not exploiting a damn thing. I came across this news on Facebook in the context of a couple of Conservative religious guys blaming the left as if she killed herself because the Left wasn't tolerant of her religious views. Turns out she didn't have any religious views at all on this matter and I'm nearly convinced the death was accidental. She probably died the same way David Carradine died: autoerotic asphyxiation.

No need to go into details, but suffice it to say that there are some people out there who really like that. And after googling Ames a bit it was clear she liked to be choked during orgasm.

This seems more likely to me. I just didn't get the sense from her tweets that she was really that upset about what some sector of social media was saying to her. She's been happily married for seven years and she lives in front of a camera having sex with complete strangers for money. Obviously she doesn't care what the majority of America things of her on that, but the disapproval of her sexual preferences by a few idiots on the internet is going to make her kill herself? Even with this context, I still can't make sense out of your original post. It seems to me that if your OP is a direct reaction to something you saw elsewhere, you should clue us in by quoting or referring to whatever it is in your OP.

Yeah, Autoerotic Asphyxiaion is a thing. But I don't see evidence to jump to that conclusion. I have no idea what was found at the scene. Her husband probably knows best about her sexual practices, but he ain't talking. I'm happy to go with whatever the coroner says in terms of suicide or accident.
