Re: Idiot Trump: Canada Burned Washington
Earth to Moron, Canada began obtaining its independence from the UK in 1867, more than a half century after the war of 1812. The Canada Act of 1982 you allude to was a formality dealing with the patriation of the Canadian constitution so Canada could amend it. But if you want to push the existence of Canada closer to the present then you're supporting the point that Trump is a moron for claiming Canada, the country that exists today, burned the White House. And you have to love the way idiots like you jump at the chance to rant on the prospect that someone at Huffpo got a date wrong while giving a complete pass to President who doesn't know crap about crap. He's still trying to avoid the fact that neither he nor his shills can explain how imposing tariffs on Canada is a "matter of national security."

I'm happy to let my friends and family in Canada decide when their nation began. They celebrated their centennial in 1967.

During a phone conversation on May 25, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asked Trump how tariffs against his nation’s steel and aluminum could be justified in the name of U.S. national security, as the president claimed.
“Didn’t you guys burn down the White House?” Trump said, according to CNN and the CBC.
If you judge Trudeau’s question as ‘adolescent’, how is Trump’s response not as, if not more, adolescent? : )
Trudeau's question was perfectly reasonable. Not sure why anyone would think it was "adolescent". It's obviously a question that Trump doesn't know the answer to (like most questions) but that doesn't make it "adolescent".

Well, duh, In the "minds" of the dimwitted Trump nut-swingers, only indignant adolescents dare to question the mouth-breathing cheeto-in-chief. The low functioning Trump bootlickers, like subbacfaps, know not to question their small handed orange overlord - he can do nothing wrong. He is not to be questioned cause he is smart, like really smart and knows all the best words which impresses his mentally challenged sycophants.

Subby knows that and is doing his usual troll. What's interesting is that Trump could not provide any plausible reason for tariffs that have created a trade war that will hurt everyone. Putin has done a great job of infiltrating the white house.

I, for one, would love for subs (or any of the other TrumpKin out there) to attempt a reasonably intelligent and articulate explanation of the threat, but I suspect that he isn’t up to the task.

As I write this, hundreds of Canadian Commandos under the leadership of General Céline Dion are assembling on the shores of Lake Superior. Shouting REMEMBER THE PIG WAR!, tonight they will cross the lake in zodiac boats and begin the invasion of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
As American Troops rush northward to defend the border, Canadian 5th Columnists under the direction of Samantha Bee will begin laying down an impenetrable shield of maple syrup on the isolated roads of Northern Michigan, then hide in the woods. Troop transports will spin off the roads. Alone and isolated in the woods, soldiers will be enticed to the forest by the sounds of Bryan Adams and Guy Lombardo, where they will be brainwashed into deserting with free Canadian bacon and Health Care.

The invasion will inspire a musical based on the Canadian-American border: 49 Parallels about the story of star-crossed Americans who fell in love with Canadians. The penultimate number I'm just in love with Justin, sung by a tearful Ivanka Trump, will come to symbolize the tragic cultural divide, as Americans delete all their Joni Mitchell and Justin Bieber mp3s and Canadians delete everything else.

Interesting battle plan.
Should I ditch my Starbucks cup and put the Tim Horton’s mug out so that our liberators will feel more at home?

Make sure you play your copy of American Woman loudly as they drive past.

If it were said by anyone other than Trump, I could see it as a joke in poor taste.
The problem is that tariffs are no joking matter. They are implemented by ignorant politicians, and incite reactions by ignorant politicians in other countries. They are economic dynamite that inflict damage on your own country, and Trump answered an honest question by an ill-conceived remark to an event that dated back over 200 years ago.
