Weird. I thought they were the Party of family values...

So, if a political party has a certain, yet to be revealed, critical mass of members that contradict one or two of the party "positions" then the party itself is bad?
Aspirations not realized are the fault of the aspiring, but the path to hell being paved by good intentions is your edict here?
Forgive my confusion, but im unclear on what your point is here...is it simply an expression of righteous indignation whereas you are "the party of policing human fallacy and frailty "? or are you just simply confused by political systems?
Oh is that what he is, confused about "political systems"? Feel free to produce a similar list of Democrats espousing X from their pulpits while exercising the opposite of X in their daily lives.
Republicans are walking contradictions in and of themselves. The ones who understood this are the ones who left it (i.e. George Will, Justin Amash, etc).
At the end of the day Republicans never believed their own BS. Small government, reduced government spending, lower deficits, saving babies (unless they're already born brown), family values (only if that means higher divorce rates and access to porn), freedom of religion (Christian, not Islam!), love of Constitution (unless Lord Trump wants to rewrite it), patriotism (unless that means disagreeing with Lord Trump), respecting the military (unless the military disagrees with Lord Trump, various Generals, Senator McCain, etc). These were wrapped up in bumper sticker slogans but no one ever really believed in them. The only real common denominator among the fold is that they see themselves as cheerleaders on a team, very much like Alabama vs. Auburn. And FOX News is their Paul Finnebaum.
At the end of the day all that matters is sticking it to the libs anyway possible because this is what their lives have been reduced to. A daily pep rally to make the uneducated feel smart and giving the white trash of society a feeling of relevance. To be Republican is their identity and it defines who they are even more so than being a Christian. This is proven by the fact that people from the same political party get along even if they're from different religions, but religious Republicans will not get along with Democrats from the same Church. Republicanism is their new religion thanks to FOX. That's what FOX has been espousing ever since its inception. It never cared about Obama being a bad president because he never was. All they cared about was the team image. Four years of their team not being in control so they had to attack attack attack. Just look at the dumb crap they tried to use to attack him. The outright hypocrisy is unparalleled. His daughters wearing skimpy outfits made him a poor example of family values? His wife showing her shoulders too much? His tan suit, the brown mustard, etc.
Trump marries for the fourth time, a literal gold digging whore who worked here illegally and got paid to “F” other women on camera, and the Religious Right calls her the classiest First Lady in history because, well at least she's not a powerful, well educated black woman.
It doesn't matter what Trump does, he could literally molest a baby on live TV and the Hannity's and Carlson and the Trumpers like you would immediately shift to "whataboutism" and pull up some example of some obscure Democrat who was arrested on sex charges. You were never about family values or morals in any real sense. And it sure as hell isn't about what's best for the country. It is about what's best for certain Americans who are so petty and insecure that the only way they can find meaning in this life is to put themselves above others, and no one does that better than FOX News and the entire Republican propaganda system.
