What ‘liberal elite high school’ did she attend?

Christian Cooper
Central Park this morning: This woman's dog is tearing through the plantings in the Ramble.

ME: Ma'am, dogs in the Ramble have to be on the leash at all times. The sign is right there.
HER: The dog runs are closed. He needs his exercise.
ME: All you have to do is take him to the other side of the drive, outside the Ramble, and you can let him run off leash all you want.
HER: It's too dangerous.
ME: Look, if you're going to do what you want, I'm going to do what I want, but you're not going to like it.
HER: What's that?
ME (to the dog): Come here, puppy!
HER: He won't come to you.
ME: We'll see about that...

I pull out the dog treats I carry for just for such intransigence. I didn't even get a chance to toss any treats to the pooch before Karen scrambled to grab the dog.

HER: DON'T YOU TOUCH MY DOG!!!!!

That's when I started video recording with my iPhone, and when her inner Karen fully emerged and took a dark turn...
After reading this it just looks like a conflict between two people with competing interests. But since they are people of different races it has to be about racism, since to do otherwise would be ignoring our country's racial sins. I guess since they're of different genders we need to make it about sexism as well.

Ms. Cooper’s press release/apology:

“I want to apologize to Chris Cooper for my actions when I encountered him in Central Park yesterday. I reacted emotionally and made false assumptions about his intentions when, in fact, I was the one who was acting inappropriately by not having my dog on a leash. When Chris began offering treats to my dog and confronted me in an area where there was no one else nearby and said, "You're not going to like what I'm going to do next," I assumed we were being threatened when all he had intended to do was record our encounter on his phone. He had every right to request that I leash my dog in an area where it was required. I am well aware of the pain that misassumptions and insensitive statements about race cause and would never have imagined that I would be involved in the type of incident that occurred with Chris. I hope that a few mortifying seconds in a lifetime of forty years will not define me in his eyes and that he will accept my sincere apology.”

Meh. She’ll be fine. I’m sure she’s got a few shekels tucked away. Time for a second career!

Schmo says his views are centered in reality. The fog of his bias is so thick he can't even see a feminist SJW liberal when one is presented on his computer screen before him.
LOL

That doesn't make enough sense to hang any kind of response on it. It's what people generally call a non-sequitur.

I notice you called her the same thing I did. What's that about, if I'm so wrong about her?

Which I’m sure paid for a top-notch publicist to create that statement. Money well spent. This was masterful:

I am well aware of the pain that misassumptions and insensitive statements about race cause and would never have imagined that I would be involved in the type of incident that occurred with Chris.
A very elegant non-apology for her actual “misassumptions and insensitive statements about race.” And describing her role in this as something she “would never have imagined” that she would “be involved in” is misdirection at its best. She directly caused this “type of incident that occurred.”

I'll just add that I agree there's a conversation about people being overly sensitive on certain issues, or what some people like to term "SJW" behavior. I can't seem to get to a conversation about that because the people who want to have it have never proven to argue in good faith. They don't even know when the acronym "SJW" should be invoked, as we see here.

These people can accuse me of not seeing who the SJWs are all they want. It's hollow coming from them.

She was a nasty wench you got that right. You're just to biased to have properly predicted her politics. The people you assume to be Trump supporters and worthy of your hatred often turn out to be your fellow Democrats.

Pfffft. She's the exception that proves the rule.

I don't doubt the left has it's share of racism, in more subtle ways. The difference, as I see it, is the effort or attention paid to the issue itself. The lefties are at least trying. Right wingers don't appear to care to make that effort.

But as I said, I wasn't talking about racism. I was talking about the right's new love of shameless asshole behavior. I'm an asshole and I don't care who knows it!! Naturally, I would assume she's a Trumpist. It just makes sense.

Yes. This is true (except I'm not a Democrat).

And?

I’m not sure what conversation that could be had at this point without it devolving into varying degrees of nonsense that we’ve experienced on this forum in the past. At the end of the day one side essentially believes systemic racism is so thoroughly embedded in institutional America that anything short of massive reparations is an affront to fairness despite all the entitlements and programs that exist, and the other side is, well, Ajax and ldsfaqs.

When Everything is Ultimately the Fault of White People, or parsed down to 3% Commits 53% of All Murders we’re basically fighting each other when in reality the 1 or 2% is happily egging all of it along via their media conglomerates. The crazy thing is each side is so goddamn territorial they can’t see how they’re being manipulated by the 1%’ers that are “on their side”.
