It's because "cancel culture" is a pejorative term for things liberals do and by definition doesn't include conservative examples of "cancel culture" like calling on the NFL to squash players kneeling during the national anthem.

It's a kissing cousin of the term "political correctness." Conservative culture is rampant with political correctness. You can piss some conservatives off merely by wishing them Happy Holidays. But the term by it's nature is used to describe left of center political correctness, so hyper politically correct conservatives can bitch about PC liberals without feeling like massive hypocrites because they don't see the obvious hypocrisy.

I’m not sure I follow your question. I just find it ironic people on the Right hate that the Left will dig up a tweet or email someone sent ten years ago that’s awful and then, despite years of decent behavior, are fired from a job or gig, BUT, do the same thing with the dEmoCraTs wERe rAcISts iN tHE 6o’s!

It’s just so foul on both sides, although when the Right likes to point out Democratic racism it has a particular absurdity to it.

If I am remembering Sub's past post he may be furthering the theory that there are so many poor blacks because Democrats rounded them up and put them on welfare in ghettos. They encourage secrete social workers to break Blacks of any initiative to work.This is an outgrowth of resistance to reconstruction. The Republican plan to give Blacks land and a mule to be able to start earning their way independently was blocked as socialism by Democrats.

(Republicans now are eager to go back to the unfinished job of reconstruction, land and now a tractor instead of a mule) I hear, well I haven't actually heard.

Yeah, this one is looking like an attempt to distract from Trump doing nothing about Russia paying bounties to kill US soldiers by implying an endorsement of horrible racism.

ETA: Or as the Lincoln project put it, "I thought we were at least a few more weeks away from the President tweeting “White Power,” but I guess that’s what happens when you get caught letting Putin kill our soldiers."

Those ex-Republicans sure know how to craft attack messages.
