I don’t think the hygiene advice has changed. People get confused between how the virus could spread and hope it is primarily spreading. The virus can be transmitted through surfaces. The primary mode of spread is respiratory droplets. But you should still be doing the whole hand washing don’t touch your face thing. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:06 pmDoes it? The latest I heard was that the chance of picking it up via surface contact was negligible. Has that changed?
I sort of thought we were past that idea, mostly because we don't hear experts telling us to wash our hands and avoid touching our face for months now.

I certainly agree the advice is still good (hell, whether there's a pandemic happening or not). I just noticed that talk sort of stopped around the same time it came out that the biggest danger was aerosol transmission and that the danger from surface contact was low/negligible.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:16 pmI don’t think the hygiene advice has changed. But of course, this is a novel virus, so all findings should be taken as tentative in the first couple waves.
Ahh, well there you go. Thanks for that, sir.ETA: https://www.who.int/emergencies/disease ... for-public

Re: Opinions please
You're welcome. It looks to me like hygiene is so basic to public health that the experts assume that people understand its importance and go on to discuss other things.

If they offer you something, take the money. If nothing else, it hopefully will make Lowe's more conscientious in enforcing safety standards.

You had two strangers in your house and didn't put on a mask until you saw one of them wasn't wearing one?

Still haven't gotten a reply. The thing is that I don't have any proof that #2 wasn't wearing a mask. So. I think the best I can hope for at this rate is that Lowes let's me know they've counseled the employee.

Yes. I do whatever I feel compelled to do. Example. If I started a message board I'd feel compelled to set it up with a crew of back up techs so it wouldn't go to sh-it right under my nose and probably make sure I owned the thing.
