I would not be terribly surprised to see Barron eventually distance himself from most of his father's ideology, worldview and politics. Nor would I be terribly surprised if Melania finally sues Trump for divorce after he is removed from office by either expiration of his term of office or by impeachment, if not before, assuming he doesn't die first, which is beginning to seem increasingly likely.

I hope Barron does not follow his dad's path to madness. I really do. I think that our best shot at seeing Trump's presidency end early is if his health fails. I do not foresee anyone else being able or taking the opportunity to protect the Constitution in line with their sacred oath. If I had my way, every last enabler of Trump would be barred from public office forever.

I have no such hope. This is a family of grifters and fraudsters - whether by blood or by marriage - that would throw the entire nation under the bus if it will further enrich themselves while doing so. The ‘MAGA’ rallying call is a distraction designed to fool easily-swayed people into complacency or support such that he can do what he wants without question or blowback. He owns property all over the world and will always be insulated from any consequence through his wealth. Trump and his family have absolutely no loyalty to any country nor would they need to. Their loyalty is solely to money. This is plainly evident in how easily Trump will cozy up to any foreign dictator if he knows that he can swap assets with them to ensure his own security.

As Donald is, Barron will be no better. He will never be taught to be, and he will never experience what it would take to make a difference.

She's in a sham marriage for the money. She's so pathetic, she's willing to stay married to a convicted rapist because she can't give up that sweet sweet money train.

The only thing that makes Melania marginally better than Trump is that we don't have to hear about her BS every day, but let's not pretend they aren't both complete assholes.

There is a small chance that Barron is disgusted and embarrassed by his parents (subconsciously, at least) and as a young adult, seeks out more positive influences to help correct the emotional crap he inherited from his parents.

I say this because I went through it. My parents were dumb Mormons, and I escaped that crap. It's possible.

I've been commenting on these developmental issues in Trump for years now. He suffered trauma as a child due to the sudden separation from his mother and THAT'S why his emotional development was thwarted at toddler level where he remains emotionally stuck. He's a 6ft tall adult toddler.

I think she's likely contractually obligated to him, Gunnar. I hope to the good lord above that he has not rubbed off on Barron. Melania appears to keep him out of the spotlight and sees to his education. And it seems as though he has a close and trusted relationship with his mother. That's all a child needs to succeed. One. Just one. One trust bond relationship that's written in stone.

Might be part of the reason he's turned on by children - he's one himself. Doesn't make raping minors acceptable, but it might explain his demented behavior.
