I’m reading that they caught the shooter thanks to a Church minister reporting a confession about the shooting to the police. I guess that Randy Austin, an attorney for Kirton McConkie, would argue that this breach of clergy penitent privilege damages the situation and hinders the work to reduce gun deaths.
I'm seeing this post everywhere on social media. I don't know if it's accurate, but remember, according to Patheos, Charlie might very well still be alive and that the people behind this are a group of high ranking elite government officials (Mitt Romney included).

From what I’m reading, Tyler’s father didn’t turn him in. He reported Tyler’s confession to their Church minister, who in turn breached the confessional protection by reporting it to police. That version of events may or may not be accurate. Also being reported is
Robinson, a white, Christian Mormon from a Republican family in St. George, Utah
Which again may or may not be accurate.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Here is an article that makes some further comment and clarification of this horrendous murder of a good man:

The radical left has infected our youth to the point they are willing to kill innocent victims. Charlie Kirk was an innocent man.

He was definitely an innocent man who didn’t deserve to be murdered. But he was definitely not a good man. He was both a racist and a sexist.

He has said on video that if he sees a black pilot he worries about his competency.

How so?
He has said on video that if he sees a black pilot he worries about his competency.
Assuming he said that, it's not necessarily a "racist" comment. It depends on why that might have concerned him. He cited DEI hiring practices as a reason. That's not racism. That anti-DEI-ism. Some airline carriers embrace DEI and make merit a subordinate criterion.

He said it, and more…
Kirk frequently cast doubt on the qualifications of Black professionals. “If I see a black pilot, I’m gonna be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified,” he once said.

In another instance, he referred to “a moronic black woman” in customer service and questioned whether she was hired “because of her excellence, or … because of affirmative action.”

He also attacked civil rights leaders and the laws that reshaped the nation. “Clarence Thomas was a far better black role model to celebrate than Martin Luther King. Period. End of story. This guy is not worthy of a national holiday,” Kirk said.

At Turning Point USA’s America Fest in 2023, he went further: “MLK was awful. … We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s.”
Black women in public life were also targets. He called journalist Joy Reid, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson “affirmative action picks,” claiming they did not “have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously.”

He blamed a Black fire chief in Austin, Texas, for flooding deaths that occurred a three-hour drive away from the city.

Even as the nation embraced Juneteenth as a federal holiday commemorating emancipation, Kirk denounced it. “Juneteenth should not be a federal holiday,” he wrote on social media in June. In a video, he argued, “This holiday is not about celebrating emancipation regardless of the veneer they put on it.”
He was undoubtedly a racist. And a sexist.

I have encountered moronic black women too that I wonder whether or not they were hired for DEI reasons. How is that not a perfectly rational suspicion?

I agree. But for respective political views not racial reasons. Does that make me a racist?

I would have to see the entire quote to see to what extent I agree or disagree. But that doesn't make someone a racist. There are conservative blacks who agree with that, and it would be strange to tag someone a racist over political disagreements. One thing I am sure of, Kirk may have disagreed with the Civil Rights Act in the form that passed in the 60s, but he was not against civil rights for blacks. You're making an unwarranted conclusion.

You failed to address this one…
Kirk frequently cast doubt on the qualifications of Black professionals. “If I see a black pilot, I’m gonna be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified,” he once said.
Was that an oversight on your part?
Kirk also claimed George Floyd died from a drug overdose, not from Officer Derek Chauvin’s knee on his neck. Moreover, he praised Kyle Rittenhouse after he killed a racial justice protester following George Floyd’s death, telling him: “You’re a hero to millions, it’s an honor to be able to have you.”
It’s inescapable that Kirk was a racist.
