I think all sports should be done the way Sumo wrestling is done. In a tournament, each wrestler wrestles each other wrestler one time. The athlete with the most wins is the winner. Ties are broken by the tied athletes wrestling each other until there are no ties.

I like it, but it could get complicated. There are currently 136 teams in NCAA Division I, so it would take over 2-and-a-half years to determine each season's winner (i.e. a season beginning in 2025 would have its champion determined in 2027 or 2028). Seasons could overlap so there would be 3 seasons running concurrently, so teams would at all times have three different national rankings: one for each active season. Champions would be determined by the school with the best math program.

Whiskey every time I read your thread title you know what? I think you should make it into a series of recurring new threads: B, Moan, Predict and Fix. Then you can fit it into whatever topic you want including politics.

I have a running series of threads like that called "Dear Dr. Shades". Haven't done one in a good long while though.

Think about it. I think it could work for tons of topics.

Having worked for private equity owned companies the last 10+ years, this will be very interesting. I saw the funniest clip on this, showing an indian gentleman "Rajesh" as the new coach for Utah, as it will save the team $7M dollars per year and can be done remotely. Which is a standard play in PE companies where possible to save a buck - out source to offshore cheap staffing.

Upon acquiring additional teams, head coaching has now been consolidated under a single department or individual.
