She predicted he’d crash the economy. She was right. They promised, repeatedly, a 6% GDP. It came in yesterday at 1.6%. Couple that with real inflation ~50%, gas at $6/gallon, and the economic isolation being imposed on us by both foreign governments and Trump.
Well.
Ya still winning, brother?
Unlike Tucker Carlson and Candice Owens, I want the US to be the dominant force in the world. I don't want a world where China and Russia control entire spheres of influence nor where the Huthis can block the strait of Hormuz. The only thing I'm a little unsure of is why we haven't yet occupied Iran and taken all their oil. We should be taking Venezuela's oil as well to reimburse us for flooding our country with impoverished migrants. I believe that isolationism is bad for America and bad for the world.
It’s hard to decide whether this is short-sighted imperial ambition or a simplistic view that occupying oil-producing countries is easy. Either way, the strategic view is strained so much as to make it tempting to dismiss as little more than trolling.
I personally spent a half dozen years in the gulf, while the US spent twenty years, thousands of lives, and trillions of dollars thinking “take their oil” had a nice ring to it.
Do you guys get the feeling that we're stuck in a loop and the only way to dig ourselves out is the mid-terms? I find myself wondering what he's gonna pull to prevent the mid-terms from happening. I think I read or heard he had something in the works but it could be that a judge put the kibosh on it. If it's a "go" I hope the GOP gets creamed good and proper.

Did you know Trump’s lead prosecutor against James Comey is a literal pro-sex offender advocate? His thesis argued that we should take it easy on sex offenders and allow them to actually be closer to children? This is an actual real thing.
Hey, MAGA board members, are you ok with sex offenders teaching your grandchildren?
[...]The only thing I'm a little unsure of is why we haven't yet occupied Iran and taken all their oil.
Because a ground invasion of Iran that actually succeeds in getting military control of the whole country and maintains it in the long term is simply beyond what the US can do without an unacceptable level of causalities and expense.

But MAGA is OK with sending American kids to die in the desert, if they can get more oil for their billionaire corporate friends, to add to a supply that they keep telling us isn’t needed because we’re ’energy independent’.

The oil would pay for it rather quickly. And more importantly, a greater number of casualties due to a nuclear armed Iran would be avoided.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Ajax,
Come on man! The Houthis are actually a Yemen based rebel/terrorist group. The Strait of Hormuz is located over 1,200 miles away to the northeast from the Houthis. If the Houthis want to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz, they would have to march through the entire country of Saudi Arabia or sail a massive fleet all the way around the peninsula past Oman.
And, the logical absurdity of invading Iran and Venezuela just to take their oil is a bizarre fantasy and sounds like a comedy sketch. Your plan would require a permanent military occupation of two massive, geographically hostile nations (the dense jungles of South America and the rugged mountains of the Iranian plateau).
The U.S. would be trapped in a never ending, multi-trillion-dollar guerrilla war defending oil pipelines from being blown up every single Tuesday. It is a foolproof plan to bankrupt the United States.
