The problem with Trump is it's hard to break down in digestible bite-sized posts just how deeply ____ corrupt him and his family is. His relationship with Putin and Putin's ingress into our power structures is just so murky and extensive that it's hard to untangle it in a way that doesn't require endless linking to various persons, connections, government, PACs, and business structures. And that's just the Russians. The Saudis have made similar inroads, but to a lesser scale.
On top of that he deals with our government the way he dealt, personally, with his businesses. He's ____ running it into the ground and the "Conservative" powerbrokers are actually happy he's doing that. The problem is you have to, again, start showing the influence and inroads people like, say, the Koch brothers have made with the GOP and how their gameplan is playing out.
It's so complex and so multi-layered that it's virtually impossible to make it consumable for the idiots who voted for Trump. This is why the Left just dumbs down their approach to Trump and his policies as 'racist' because they know they can't really dumb down complex financial business arrangements that resonate with their base, and will educate Trump's base. Just look at how truth, facts, links, sourcing, and dialogue goes with them on this board. It's an impossible task so we're left with bottom line couplets.
It's incredibly disappointing that in this day and age, with information heretofore NEVER available to the masses, we're still essentially headlining these things. It all boils down to the human brain and its capacity to consume information. The sad truth is we're designed to be ruled, lied to, and manipulated and that's a hard thing to overcome.

Well put, Doc.
The war for eyeballs and minds is on. It always was, but not with this technology, as you mention. But the monkey business of primate hierarchy is in the DNA of every human enterprise. The drive for dominance will admit of no rules but winning, always. We must have students of human nature who are also students of government, an updated version of the Founding Fathers. If we don't, then I suspect the American experiment is over.
Now that Trump has governed as someone who is as hostile to entitlements as they come in a complete 180 of his campaign stance,
I don't think his base will mind that either.
Trump's base is not enough for him to get reelected. As we have seen from this recent last election, all the three states that delivered Trump his victory (Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin), the Democrats won the senate and governor's races.

Maybe Trump can get WaterDog to run his Department of Defense. Ajax can handle border security. Bach can be chief of staff. Ah, hell, it's whoever Putin wants.

And the fact still remains that many of his core base are included among those who will ultimately be hurt the most by Trump's policies and actions.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

In your view, what is the single most damming evidence that Trump colluded with Putin or the Russians in general, in regrads to his being elected?

This is a perfect example of talking to a Trump supporter. I typed up the post explaining exactly why it's impossible to reduce the 'largeness' of Trump's fuckery into a snack, and Markk pops up demanding I provide the tastiest snack from the buffet table.
I don't know what to say.
If I give Markk a pizza roll he'll say it's not a cheese doodle. If I then give him a cheese doodle he'll then ask why I didn't give him a bag of cheese doodles. THERE'S AN ENTIRE TABLE FULL OF SNACKS. OPEN YOUR EYES AND PICK ONE.
Markk. I've posted dozens of well-sourced comments and a few threads detailing all sorts of snacks. Feel free to consume one at your leisure. I don't know what you're looking for and I'm certainly not going to guess at what you'll find acceptable.

I am not really a Trump supporter...I have stated many times why I voted for him, and why I want him to succeed. I am asking you a simple question of what in your view is the single most damning evidence of his pre election collusion with Putin and the Russians.
Thanks

Markk - The totality and interdependence of the evidence is what makes the case strong rather than a single smoking gun. Lots of things are like this. Most things worth thinking about, I imagine.
Markk wrote:... have stated many times why I voted for him, and why I want him to succeed.
Markk. How can I possibly talk to you when you demonstrate an utter lack of personal situational awareness?
Tell you what. You give me a clue as to what tasty tidbit you're looking for, and I'll do the google-fu legwork in order to give you a good faith answer. But you have to do better than ask, "On this thirty-foot banquet table covered in 40 kinds of snack foods, dishes, sides, desserts, and 5 kinds of punch please pick out the tastiest tidbit and explain why this one, this singular snack, will convince me to grab a plate and dive right in. Mind you I already ate at Chik-fil-A."
