My heart breaks everytime I listen to that song Hallelujah. It's one of my favorite songs and I like all of the different renditions.

I'm rather tired of my heart breaking so I'm not gonna listen right now.

Monkeys, here's one of my favorite feel-good/happy songs. It's The Cure's Just Like Heaven. When I hear it, I want to lift my arms in the air and spin in circles like I did when I as a little girl.

Aw.KA. :)

Thank you. That's actually a sad song for me too though. But I understand why you would feel that way.

*broken heart* Song for me. Or maybe when I'm down all songs are sad?

This is one of my all time favorites though:

show me
show me
show me
how you do that trick
the one that makes me scream
she said
the one that makes me laugh
she said
and threw her arms around my neck

show me how you do it
and i promise you
i promise that i'll run away with you
i'll run away with you

spinning on that dizzy edge
i kissed her face and kissed her head
and dreamed of all the different ways i had
to make her glow
why are you so far away?
she said
why won't you ever know that i'm in love with you?
that i'm in love with you?

you
soft and only
you
lost and lonely
you
strange as angels
dancing in the deepest oceans
twisting in the water
you're just like a dream...
you're just like a dream...

daylight licked me into shape
i must have been asleep for days
and moving lips to breathe her name
i opened up my eyes
and found myself alone
alone
alone
above a raging sea
that stole the only girl i loved
and drowned her deep inside of me

you
soft and only
you
lost and lonely
you
just like heaven

EeeK! When you have all the lyrics right there in front of you without the music it does seem quite somber, doesn't it?

I guess it's the tune that is so happy for me. I know the lyrics by heart, but never really considered it a sad song.

Thanks for posting the lyrics, though, Monkeys. They're beautiful.

I thought it was pretty funny! It actually made me smile through my tears. :)

I love that Howie Day song, but if I heard it on the radio I could never have told you the name or who sang it.

I saw the Smiths postings. I used to know a girl that was a hardcore Morrissey fan. She had it bad. I like the song Girlfriend in a Coma. The guys like, "uhm, we werent really that close, do you really think she'll pull through? Can I go now?"

This song always sticks in my head when I think of them - Ask Me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8l1ilxT5Ys
