Of course you thought that. Al Jazeera...Jesus ____ Christ.

"Whoosh" - is an onomatopoeia for the sound of a fast moving object flying over someone’s head. In online discussions, the word is often used to poke fun at someone's inability to appreciate or understand a joke

I guess you got me. I completely missed that the board's born-again version of mentalgymnast was making a joke about being only slightly off when guessing, "Al Jazeera" to a question about the source of a quote telling its audience to prepare to see leftists succeeding in a commando raid on the White House and shooting Trump on the lawn that came from a broadcast targeted at the Focus on the Family crowd.

Ok, let's play.

Here's an example of Trump showing signs of being a compulsive liar, meaning despite clear evidence that what he's saying as he's saying it isn't true he still went with the lie:

Last week, the official death toll from Hurricane Maria was raised to almost 3000. Basically, as many people as were killed on 9/11 died in Puerto Rico as the result of the hurricane.

Trump, faced with this evidence, said: "I think we did a fantastic job in Puerto Rico."

Attempting to personally insult two different people with one short post? Nice - You've really made huge strides in the personal insult department - good on you.

That was also a joke, ceebs, of the sarcasm variety.

I was comparing two people based on common behavior. What brought it to mind was a comment Gad made about MG on a thread in the terrestrial forum:

What would be the point of convincing MG? The problem is, he's not that bright nor is he analytical, and so you couldn't convince him, say, the way a math teacher might convince a student that the angles of a triangle in Euclidean space add up to 180 degrees. He doesn't have the capacity to follow the argument. Our hypothetical math teacher might, however, go to lunch with MG and say a few nice things about him to his face, concede his moderate aspirations, and in return, MG might grant that the angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees, even though he doesn't understand why, simply because he desires to be agreeable with people who show interest in him personally. Is that what you would want?

There really isn't a reason I can see for desiring agreement from someone like MG, who doesn't have the capacity for understanding why a position is justified.

It nailed him, and also served as a spot on description of your behavior, too. What matters to you is people thinking you're a good guy. But your nice streak is a mile wide and an inch deep that you picked up from the Team Jesus brochures describing what a nice person should be like. It takes very little to scratch through it and see you really don't like being told you aren't a nice person. Why? Because you aren't a nice person and it's very easy to get to the inner you. You just trade in complements like its a currency that pays the rent on your self-worth from day-to-day. MG plays a similar game. Gad hit on something with that comment.

If you were the person you pretend to be, you'd be less concerned with being insulted and would have been more genuinely interested in why people had the reaction they have had to your behavior.

If I were wrong, you would have ignored the posts that offend you and instead respond to the impersonal posts about the topics of the threads. Instead, you do the opposite. I've given you both multiple times in multiple threads. You choose your own priorities and subjects for discussion.

So true.

Find just about any post in Ceeboo's history, remove all the idiotic emoticons, and he's the exact asshole he's constantly bitching about, hiding behind symbols meant to pretend he's joking.
