From Meet the Press today:

Chuck Todd: "We do expect retaliation on American citizens, correct?"

Pompeo: "It may be that there's a little noise here in the interim."

Good to see that the folks who got their faux rage on for years over ‘Benghazi’ now regard the deaths of American citizens abroad as just “a little noise”.

Trump recently commented by both doubling down on the threat to strike Iranian cultural sites, and saying the US will not leave Iraq regardless of its wishes unless it receives compensation for its military bases.

So in a single short impromptu comment to journalists he promised to commit war crimes and for the US to become an occupying force in Iraq. At the end of the day, there's not a light of daylight between behaving like a dangerous rogue state run by a tyrant and being one.

I know there are people who react to this by thinking, "Yeaharg! You show 'em who's boss, Trump." It would be nice if they could think for a second how that will be received by others even before you get to the morality of what he's proposing.

I immediately thought of the "I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed..." line from Dr. Strangelove.

CBP has issued a statement saying these reports are false, but they also lie a lot, so that's not terribly helpful.

You got someone in particular in mind? I criticized Obama's drone campaigns a lot, including on this message board. Of course, this involves your usual false equivalence too, but what where would you be if you didn't avoid responding to criticism by making up false charges of hypocrisy? You might actually have to consider whether what you support is good.

What subs isn’t going to tell you - because honesty ain’t his thang - is the following:

Most (24,287) were dropped in Iraq and Syria. This number is based on the percentage of total coalition airstrikes carried out in 2016 by the United States in Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), the counter-Islamic State campaign.

“Political abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union
There was systematic political abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union, based on the interpretation of political opposition or dissent as a psychiatric problem. It was called "psychopathological mechanisms" of dissent.”

Shocking that the Neo Marxist use the same tactics.

Moksha takes no pains to hide the fact that he is a penguin. His only characteristic in common with human marxists is that his name begins with an 'm'.

And no, calling someone stupid has nothing to do with the abuse of psychiatry for political purposes under the Soviet regime.

Otherwise you would presumably have to accuse Trump of Soviet style abuses when he labels his political opponents as 'low IQ'.
