Doc, that’s some real black and white thinking you’ve got going in there. Caring about human life is more complex than the simple issue of which decision will maximize the number of live humans. Other factors such as quality of live and an indivual’s right to make his own decisions about his life come into play. Suppose my dad is dying of incurable cancer and is in a significant amount of pain. He tells me he wants to end his life now rather than suffer and/or stay so drugged he doesn’t even know his own name. If I care about human life, what should I do?

Or if my daughter accidentally gets pregnant and tells she chooses not to give birth, if I care about human life, what do I do?

As human beings, we have to balance all kinds of different - and sometimes conflicting — issues. Being pro-choice doesn’t mean one must also be in favor of letting hungry children starve.

Why is it morally wrong to kill a blastocyst? You're trying to trade on the term "human" while completely skirting the whole area of debate over what sorts of traits count as deserving personhood (with "human" being a fringe minority answer in ethics). You're using emotionally loaded language for effect, but

1) Maybe people do not agree that merely having a human genome is sufficient to be a person. Rather it takes like sentience, conscious awareness, etc. You're loading your comments with an assumed position which, being very generous to you, is notoriously hard to defend.

2) There are people who are pro-life who want to solve malnutrition in the population and are open to government aide as part of the response.

Once you consider this points, your charges of hypocrisy fall apart and look like the ploy to divert to a completely different controversial issue that it is.

If you cared so much about life Doc, why do you keep eating carrots? Pfft. Hypocrite.

You know. For someone as obsessed with race as you are, I would think that the racial genocide being levied on Black and Hispanic women by White tax dollars and the White system would take primacy as a concern.

Once again we're faced with the race reality of Liberalism, wherein they're completely comfortable with Black and Hispanic babies, a.k.a. 'not human', being snuffed out as a matter of convenience at far greater rates than that of White babies.

I mean, if you're good with that I say embrace it. Much like Ajax shouldn't hide his racial hatred behind idealism I suggest to the Liberals on this board do the same. People see through the facade of renaming a baby or a forming human as something that dehumanizes their murder.

Anyway. You're all over the place on this issue. We're feeding poor minorities and whites garbage food that hurts their health, and in the end hurts our medical tax dollars because we're treating the results of a terribly ran government subsidy. That's racist and elitist. Just throwing money at poor minorities and whites while patting yourselves on the backs is lazy and fantastically irresponsible.

We need to overhaul this subsidy, starting with strict guidelines on what can be purchased, and what kind of education goes along with that money. If you really care about minorities, which it's clear you don't, you're going to care about their health.
