Re: Kamala blasts Pence for refusing to meet women alone
Here's the Christian Broadcast Network.
The exact quote from The Hill reads, "'If there's alcohol being served and people are being loose, I want to have the best-looking brunette in the room standing next to me,' Pence said.'"
Same article, Billy Graham:
After further discussion, they decided that in order to avoid any situations that would compromise them or bring on suspicion, they would not, "travel, meet, or eat alone with a woman other than my wife."

The Cosmo quote is of a Pence spokesperson, not Pence. According to another spokesperson, Harris’s characterization was “false” Hard to evaluate either comment, as neither gave the missing context or offered any hint about what, exactly, was false.
Do you see any evidence in the quotes or descriptions of the Pence Rule where he refuses to meet (in a business sense) one:one with women?
Other than KH's claim and does she supply proof for her claim?

Can we conclude from this that Pence didn’t also say he would not be alone with a woman under other circumstances? Other references to the piece in The Hill refer both to dinners and drinking.

Re: Kamala blasts Pence for refusing to meet women alone
Let me pull myself away from murder for a moment, RI, and cut to the chase.
In the OP we've got a claim by KH that differs from the claim of what Pence stated as per his policy. She says he won't have meetings one:one with women, he says he won't do dinner one:one with women other than his wife. He also won't go to social events where alcohol is served without his wife.
You've got at least EA totally sucked in by it and morphing it to mean all sorts of crap and almost no one here is challenging Harris herself because bias towards anything that remotely resembles the Trump White House and no one gives a damn if it's true or accurate to the point where they're nearly out-Trumping Trump. That's as direct and to the point as I can get right now.
It's Covington and the Lincoln Memorial all over again.
Back to bodies and crap...

No and no. However, like you, I have not reviewed the original reporting in the Hill.

You are damned lucky that I care if your posts go unanswered right now. You are competing with my interest in murderers and that you are getting at least a part of my attention really says something about my regard for you. I just want you to know that. ;-)
No, we can't conclude anything but just what has been stated regarding dinners and social gatherings that involve alcohol.
You should probably probe EA the way that you are me here. I'm not the poster who morphed it all to crap and projected meanings upon it that so far as we know, haven't been stated and are simply, well, innuendo.
It's damned sick and no one here should give it a pass.

Congratulations. You're far more intellectually honest than EA is.
That's why I give a damn if your posts go unanswered or not.

Back to bodies and ____...
Just for context, here’s an Atlantic article from 2015, where female Congressional staffers talked about this problem. So it’s not a made up thing. And, given the existence of the Billy Graham rule and the results of recent surveys, I think it’s fair to conclude that the practice exists in both business and government. If Pence doesn’t apply the rule in a business or governmental context, he’s free to say so. But I suspect to do would rub his evangelical base the wrong way. So, his office cries “false” or “out of context” whether he has such a rule.
But I don’t care whether it’s Pence or Biden: the point that excluding women from one on one meetings with men is harmful to the careers of women is valid.
The bodies sound interesting. If you started a thread, I’d post on it.

I saw this post earlier and chose to pass it by. I don't know if we're witnessing pathology so much as we are ass deep in bizzaro land where evidence doesn't require scrutiny and overly defensive intellectual dishonesty rules the day.
Let go or be dragged.

I don't see the Atlantic article.
The bodies sound interesting. If you started a thread, I’d post on it.
I'm too far into one murder case to start a thread on it. Folks would have to listen to 5 hours of new testimony to even get into it and that would depend on them listening to the initial FBI interrogation which is also hours long. When something comes up (evidence being literally unearthed) regarding the more recent murder, I might start a thread on it but it'd probably be more about the mental health of the suspect. I don't think anyone here would really care about these murders to dig in. Murder is far more interesting to me than most any thread on this board including this one.
Like, no contest.
