I think Yellowstone is on target on why somebody might do something as stupid as to try to kill Trump, delusional egotism.

Trump actually being killed would be bad for all of us.

Yes, I don't disagree with Yellowstone's comments. What I really was trying to get across is that Trump has succeeded in alienating a wide spectrum of extremists with mutually divergent reasons for wishing he were dead, just as there are a large number of extremists with their own peculiar and divergent reasons for sycophantically supporting him. He will eagerly promote or invent any lie or conspiracy that he thinks will resonate with the biases of whatever audience he happens to be addressing at the moment. And I agree that, all things considered, his assassination would probably be bad for all of us and may be at as likely to result in election of a more authoritarian and more oppressive government oppression as his election to another term as President. The last thing I would want to happen is for him to become popularly revered as a martyr.

It seems to me that in this season of life (possibly longer) she has become an activist for causes I can get behind myself. In any case, she really is using her celebrity for something she strongly believes in, she's willing to do the literal leg work, and I find it admirable.

Sure, her work on climate change, clean energy, supporting the Me Too Movement. All of those are causes I can get behind myself. She puts herself out there when she really doesn't have to. In other words, she shows up.
