So what?

I read every post that Grindeal ever posted. I ignore 90% of everything MG ever says. Occasionally I will give MGs***, and 99% of time MG gets his ass handed to him by somebody smarter than me. That's what makes the board so great.

All these guys need to come back, most of us take them serious and almost no one takes MG serious. He is a board jester. Come back and post and stop worrying about the son of a b****.

The thread you've linked to above is a thread began on Oct. 22nd and ended on Oct. 23rd. It was started by me. The poster in question stayed off of my thread. On Oct. 25th I started this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=47402

This is the thread where the OP stated my position on what I needed to do in order to not get into further conflict. Up to that point I had not committed to disengaging from the poster in question either directly and/or indirectly...except for saying that I would not enter into his threads just as he had committed to not entering into mine.

The thread you linked to, again, is dated Oct 22nd through Oct. 23rd. In that thread...created by me...I did engage the poster in question. Oct. 25th thread was two days later.

As I said previously upthread, I went back seven pages and could not find a thread...back to Sept. 5th...in which I came in on one of the threads belonging and/or started by the poster in question. I'd guess it goes back farther than that. I stopped on page seven.

You said I lied. I'm not exactly sure why you're saying that. If you can clear this up for me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
MG

False. Go back and read my posts...and dates referred to...in this thread. I kept to my word all the way around. In this thread, of course, I have found it necessary to protect my good name...but I've tried carefully to not step over any line of propriety. I have, by necessity, referred to the poster in question here on this thread. Had I any other choice rather than observing/watching others drag me through the mud with false accusation, etc.?

I invite others to look for instances where I have crossed the line on any thread and in doing so breaking my word.

The only time I have done so...pretty much out of necessity...and I readily admit it, has been in these silly threads that others have created to continue to fan the flames that should have been extinguished back on Oct. 25th at my instigation/initiation.

Sheesh.

Res Ipsa, I am at a loss to understand why mentalgymnast continues to lie about the derailment thread that began when Dr. Shades broke off his Tobin-syndrome derailing post from Grindael's OP.

Is it possible that he has me on ignore, and doesn't realize that his lie has already been exposed?

Hey, cwald! Me too. Grindael's posts were always fascinating to read, and I never missed a Maksutov or IHAQ post either. We are lucky to be surrounded by such good company!

All before Oct.25th, right? I stayed off the threads of the poster in question. He stayed off mine...previous to that date. I've explained why I felt it necessary to start a stand alone thread on Oct. 25th to permanently extinguish the fire and the "war" that the poster in question had declared. From that point on I did not engage him. But, as we know, he left within a day or two after that date.

by the way, again, you can create a narrative that fits your agenda by extracting comments from various threads and create your own contextual framework/meaning quite well. I'll hand you that. Do you do this kind stuff for a living or something?

I would hate to be your adversary. Oh wait, I suppose that's exactly the way you look at me.

Been there, done that. Your link references/goes to the thread and the dates I've already discussed upthread.

What's your point?

Of course I don't have you on ignore. You are a force of nature to be reckoned with.

No, MG. Grindael started the thread Inconsistant Stories. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47363 The thread I linked to was a derail from Grindael’s thread. Shades carved it out of Grindael’s thread and moved it to telestial. You’re listed first in the derailed portion because you started the derail.

It strains credulity that you just forgot the fact that you trolled the crap out of Grindael in late October right before Grindael took his break. Did da Vinci just forget the Mona Lisa? Did the Beatles just forget Hey Jude? Dude, this thread was your trolling Magnum Opus. Who could ever forget your classic farting in the wind.

I could cut you some slack, but I’m fresh out. What you did here is exactly to the pattern that you pass off as other people’s priming. You make up some story that paints yourself as the good guy just trying o do he right thing. Then, when someone points to facts that show your story is wrong, you spend all your energy doubling down on your nonsense.

You had a chance to be a mensch and admit your little story was bs. You failed.

Lemmie, I’m leaning towards denial. He’s so desperate to convince himself that he’s a good guy that he can’t read a thread or remember a high profile cf that he starred in.

Remember a cf that he starred in? He's creating yet another right in front of our very eyes. What the Johnny F. Depp does it take? I swear.

And for this, we've lost a total of 3 substantial posters.
