I think you have that exactly reversed.

What's appealing about that culture, though, is totally different than the policies you're referring to. It's incidental. People don't get into the tech-bro worship, Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris, etc. for the promise of government cheese. What's most promising about Sanders to someone like DT is his representing smashing the entrenched monied interests in charge of the system.

Are you done with your straw man? Warren is for more defense spending and did have rich donors for her Senate run. But if Biden picks are as VP I will probably vote for him, unless Warren changes her positions.EAllusion wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 7:33 pm
In terms of his political preferences, DT is a stereotype. His argumenative style is...not great, but he's not unique. He's an alt-lite type Democrat if there ever was one. That's all. Those people tend to like Sanders and dislike Warren. I think her having a vagina has a lot to do with that, but they'd freak out at the suggestion. They'd tell you she isn't authentic and will be a corporate/moderate sell-out or whathaveyo, then parade out Gabbard as proof of their lack of sexism.
I think most of the Sanders supporters that call her a snake are women. Women attack other women. Warren was supposed to be a friend to Bernie Sanders, so no wonder women called her a snake.

Yeah, I can't ever imagine why I might think misogyny might play a role in dislike of Warren as it relates to Sanders here.DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:33 pmAre you done with your straw man? I simply question everything, including Yang and Sanders. I don't like to be part of any culture.

Re: Biden vs. Trump
Part of what culturally appeals to you is the presentation of relentless questioning and a pose of reasoned skepticism along with a desire to see the more correct story that ordinary people miss in their failure to have these traits. Rational iconoclasm is probably catnip to you. Hey, that's not a bad thing. It's a good thing, though it can run off the rails fast when you get sophomoric "ackschully" logic boy stuff.DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:56 pmI simply question everything, including Yang and Sanders. What you wrote is sexist as hell. I don't think you think, "Screw women, therefore I don't like Elizabeth Warren." I think you have misogynistic traits that make you swallow bad reasoning that goes after Warren easier because it flatters preconceptions you don't even think about much.

Re: Biden vs. Trump
Hrm. VP pick article linked on Drudge that’s an an article published by Gulf News and hosted by MSN:
https://www.msn.com/en-ae/news/other/bi ... r-BB163Bs9
tl;dc - Senator Tammy Duckworth would be a neat pick
Gulf News is owned by Al Nisr Publishing which is owned by Al Tayer group which is ran by Obaid al Tayer. He’s met with Kushner recently, plus other Trump administration personnel over money matters. I don’t have any tin foil conspiracy theories, but I do find the timing interesting as Biden approaches a decision point for his VP pick.
