Based on your avatar, I figured your favorite movie scene would be the ending of Se7en. You know, the part that the Lemonheads sing about in their song 6ix: "Here comes Gwyneth's head in a box."

LOL

I haven't done the best scenes from disturbing movies yet.......

The true story called "The Changeling" goes down as one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen.
It was directed by Clint Eastwood. Nothing graphic was in it, but to know this happened to 20 little boys made me almost vomit. I sobbed for days anytime I thought of it. It's one of those movies that makes you doubt the existence of a loving God and that movie is still haunting me. Brilliant performances by the entire cast, especially Jason Butler Harner who plays Gordon, the serial killer.
Angelina Jolie was nominated for an Oscar.

For those who haven't seen Se7en (and don't want to)
this clip of Kevin Spacey in the car sums up the movie.
(there is some language) Watching these scenes again gave me the creeps.

the dramatic ending

The Box

Ok, now I need some happy feel good movies!

OK...I'm a gooey romantic. One of my all-time favorite movie scenes is the final scene from Casablanca.

This is classic!

Enjoy!

My favorite end credits are from
A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The animation and music are mesmerizing.

Picking one of each is virtually impossible, so here's what could only be a tentative list:

Best opening credits: Hard, real hard. I like the opening to an old and very atmospheric horror film called Horror Hotel, with Christopher Lee. Very creepy. Also Roger Corman's Haunted Palace, with the spider spinning the web and then catching the butterfly.

Best Fight scene: Sammo Hung and Liu Chia Liang in the staff vs. Staff fight in Peddicab Driver

Best Kiss: Bugs and Elmer, you pick the episode.

Best James Bond stunt: Would have to be the sky diving into the aircraft in Goldeneye. This was mostly CGI, however, so that could be a problem.

Second Best James Bond Stunt: So many to choose from, but the car jump in Live and Let Die where the car jumps across the river and does a full 360 degree barrel roll.

Best group dance number: Real difficult, but I'm going to go with the dream sequence from American in Paris.

I know you were all dying to know which commercial had the "Cider House Rules" score in it, so I'm here to tell you it's the Michigan commercial! Great music; now whenever I think of Michigan, I think "vanilla". And "Spiderman performing abortions."

See my earlier post. That was "The Man With The Golden Gun" (the other Bond movie with JW Pepper). "Live and Let Die" had the speed boat jump. And the crocodile walk. And if you doubted the croc walk was real, watch this!

I've noticed that the person in charge of all those golf and other sports montages will often use some of my favorite movie scores. I know Cider House Rules has been on a few, Bravheart, Legends of the Fall,......
I tune it out when they come on so they don't ruin my favorite songs.

Here's two of my favorite Joaquin Phoenix scenes from "Gladiator." Brilliant performance.
He should have won the Oscar that year. (I think he was nominated for it)

Busy Little Bee

Am I not Merciful

Here's a scene that was cut from the movie I hadn't seen before:

Cider House Rules has a pretty awesome score. It's very simple but beautiful.

Very true. It reminds me of the Mormon pianist Michael McClain.

Good news, everyone!

I finally tracked down the REAL video for the fastest chase scene. This is the full 2 and 1/2 minute version. No skipping ahead necessary. Better quality, too:
