So childless female elementary school teachers can be included in Mothers' Day?

I'd agree too, if we are talking about those teacher like my sons second grade teacher now, that has been so patient with him, and has put in outstanding attention to his academic growth. However, I wouldn't feel the same about his first grade teacher that did nothing for him, and threw up her arms in surrender at the slightest hint of resistance (he can be a strong-willed child at times!), and instead of finding an answer to the solution, just coming to the conclusion (even after conferences with me explaining otherwise) that he must have a medical condition. He came out of first grade not knowing how to read full sentences. 2 months in second grade with his awesome teacher, he was caught up to everyone else!

It's the difference of a teacher who does it for a paycheck (regardless how little that may be), and one who actually teaches because they love teaching children.
